Esta casa frente al mar de dos dormitorios y dos baños está justo al lado del servicio de ferry de Davis y a pocos minutos de Cape Lookout. Gran acceso a Core Banks para disfrutar de la playa para el sol y las olas o para pescar y cazar. Completamente amueblado con dos camas Queen y dos sofás cama. El muelle privado le permite traer su bote o puede explorar las vías fluviales con los dos kayaks disponibles. Las bicicletas están disponibles, puedes recorrer el pintoresco desvío. ¡También hay una ducha al aire libre! The PERFECT Getaway!!
First if you are considering this place just go ahead and BOOK! Don't wait, you will not be disappointed at all. The views are perfect in the morning from the sun coming up over the sound and just as perfect in the evening with the sun going down. This home has it all, there was plenty of space for everyone. The dock was perfect from just sitting in the morning enjoying the fresh air to fishing and crabbing, we caught crabs and plenty of fish to eat as well. The screened in porch was nice for diners and just relaxing in the evenings. The house was very clean as well. The kitchen is very nice and had everything you would need to create any meal. This will be our stay for future visits Down East. The host communicates very well and very quick to respond to any questions.

Another wonderful stay!
This was our second year staying at Sound Escape. It was just as wonderful this year as it was last. We love all of Laurie’s thoughtful touches, and we made use of the ferry passes. Thank you for those! We also made a lovely meal with the pasta! We spent a lot of time on the screened in porch and on the dock. Both are very relaxing. We did have to buy a skillet as the ones there were quite used, and it would be great if the light switch in the master bedroom water closet was fixed. It was like playing a game in the dark trying to get the light to stay on :-) We hope to be back again next year!

Family downtime
This was our second stay and we enjoyed it as much as the first. We always bring the rain, but being on the water made it easy for my teens to fish from the dock between showers. It’s a relaxing getaway. It feels homey but with amazing views of the water. One of my sons caught enough shrimp in his net for us to boil for lunch one day. I watched from the swing on the porch!

Loved our stay!
Wonderful place for a relaxing vacation! This is absolutely the best house we have vacationed in. Everything about it was perfect. There were six of us, and we all hated to leave. From the fishing, the island hopping, the cute little sea town of Beaufort, the wild horse and dolphin sitings to the relaxing evenings star watching, playing games, or relaxing on the porch, this place is #1 in our family. Thank you for a wonderful week in your beautiful home. ❤️

What a beautiful home and setting! This was just what the doctor ordered: great weather, comfortable accommodations, beautiful sunrises and attentive owners. Relaxing, quiet gem of a retreat
I’ve stayed here 3 times now and each time has been better than the last. It is always clean, inviting and has just what we need. The dock is wonderful for fishing, watching the sunrise/sunset, dolphin watching and just enjoying the scenery. Beds and seating areas are comfortable and cozy. Living room tv needs to be bigger though. The screened in porch is amazing and the fans make it enjoyable even in the heat.

This was our 4th stay at Sound Escape and it was great, as always! The house is wonderful in every way, and Laurie is very responsive if you happen to need anything. The views of Core Sound from the deck, the screened porch, and every room in the house are spectacular! We feel very much at home there and we’re looking forward to returning as soon as possible.

A peaceful getaway with amazing views was an understatement! To be able to meet & enjoy a weekend full of laughter with friends, visiting friends while staying in Davis at your home was yet another memorable trip for the books! The six of us always meet over on the other side of the sound, we enjoyed sitting on the back porch overlooking the sound towards the island talking and swinging, we played cards, had dinner on Harkers Island and just enjoyed the quietness that your place brought. Laurie without a doubt met our every need and is a super host! We left knowing that we would plan another trip back soon!!

Lovely Escape to Sound Escape
This was our third trip to Sound Escape, which is a true testament to how much we enjoy the property. The scenery on North River is superb and the owners thought of every detail to make our visit comfortable and pleasant. We look forward to a return trip next year.

Best property we’ve ever vacationed at. House was immaculate! Dock, porches and view were the best and so relaxing. We already loved the Down East area but so glad we discovered this gem. Hosts are great and there was absolutely nothing we needed. Will definitely book again!

Perfect!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sound Escape. Laurie's place was clean and had everything we needed. We enjoyed the screened in porch each day that we were there. We also fished and kayaked almost every day. We took the ferry over to Cape Lookout twice and took advantage of the bikes too! My husband kept on commenting on how nice the place was and how much he would like to come back. Everything is well thought out and Laurie responded lightning fast to any questions that we had. Overall, a great place and great host! We plan to stay again and would highly recommend!
