Extremely disappointing stay...but nice house
This stay was far from a home-away-from-home experience. Check-in was at 4 PM, and I was supposed to receive access information in advance. I didn’t, so I had to reach out around 4:45 PM to finally receive it. When I arrived, the home was absolutely filthy—not just a little dust, but a complete mess. There were dirty shoes at the entry, and the upstairs bedrooms were in disarray: unmade beds, heaps of dirty towels, hair everywhere, old food, and dirty dishes. It was clear the house hadn’t been cleaned between stays.
It took two hours and multiple calls with the management company to get it resolved, with them initially insisting the house had been cleaned, despite photos proving otherwise. When the cleaning staff arrived unannounced, startling my family, they only cleaned one bedroom and bathroom, leaving the rest of the house untouched.
On top of that, the entry gate was broken. I even received a call about a maintenance issue I hadn't reported. When I returned, someone was at the door requesting entry, which turned out to be a mix-up with the adjacent unit. The management company had mistakenly provided me with the neighboring unit's entry code due to a communication error.
The house itself was very nice, comfortable and spacious, with an amazing view of downtown but the disorganized and chaotic handling by the management made the experience stressful, far from seamless and a chaotic instead of relaxing weekend.
