Loved it!

We absolutely loved being on the water. The place was clean and the host was very attentive and accommodating. We got there earlier than expected and the host was flexible with letting us check in a little early! We also loved the use of the kayaks, we were able to explore the area and make stops for food or drinks. We really liked the waterfront social. We had fun swimming with manatees too! We would love to return and enjoy more of the springs!

We left the location of the house. It was right over the water and you could see it on all sides. We loved that there was a floating dock that we had access to and we love that we got to see manatees right outside our door! Both Memphis and Zac were super accommodating hosts and made it feel like home

Great Location

Loved our stay at this VRBO and love Crystal River!!Nice location and views of the inlet and canals were beautiful. Saw Manatees and numerous wildlife. So quiet and peaceful. Will definitely return and stay there.

Amazing location

Beautiful river front location with every amenity needed plus. Apartment was newly remodeled and updated, even had a countertop icemaker! Spectacular views from every window allowed us to see manatee at almost anytime of the day. Community dock adjacent to property made it very easy to launch our paddle boards. Definitely staying again next year.

Wonderful Stay - Beautiful Location!

We made a quick trip to Crystal River on our way home from Florida. This boat house location is perfect. The house is recently renovated, has all the amenities, and we perfectly clean. The kayaks provided were great! Owner is very responsive. Will definitely return when in the area. Thank you for allowing us access to this little slice of paradise.

Beautiful view!

We stayed here for a couple nights so we could swim with the manatees in the springs. Highly recommend! This property is located in the perfect location and easy to get around to the springs and places to eat. Beautiful view of the bay out of every window of the house. The beds were very comfortable and the house was very clean. The owner was quick to answer any questions we may have had. We highly recommend this place to stay and we would definitely stay here again!

Crystal River Boathouse

Location was great, right on Crystal River. Boathouse was decorated nicely. The only problem we encountered was the newly installed heat pump. It was installed in a locked room between the two bedrooms (possibly a closet?). It was extremely loud when it came on, as if it was.installed incorrectly. Actually shook the headboard in one of the bedrooms! We did let Memphis know about this. We only stayed one night, instead of two nights, because we didn’t sleep well.Hopefully, this issue has been fixed.

Just as good the second time!

We stayed here last summer and immediately booked again to come when it was colder to see the manatees! It was absolutely amazing. We kayaked, went to the spring's viewing area and saw hundreds of manatees in crazy clean water, cooked a great dinner and just enjoyed the view. This is a very special place!

Escape to Florida’s Nature Coast

We thoroughly enjoyed Captain Memphis, both as a VRBO host and charter boat Captain. His boathouse was clean and fully equipped with 180 degree water views, modern amenities, and a friendly community vibe! His boat was also clean and safe and his knowledge of fishing and sight-seeing his home Crystal River was amazing! Manatees and wildlife in every direction. We just worry that this hidden gem will soon be discovered! Just a great getaway!!

Newly remodeled old school boathouse with a beautiful view

You can tell they put a lot of time and thought into redoing this boathouse. There was nothing we wanted but more time there. The kitchen has all the utensils needed to cook. The beds are comfortable and the central AC worked great. We thoroughly enjoyed our cocktails on the balcony watching the boats and kayakers. We look forward to returning someday.

Great stay at a great place with a great host

Absolutely charming old florida boathouse that is updated and extremely clean. Location is awesome with a great view. Wonderful to be able to relax on balcony and look out over water after a day on the boat. Host is phenomenal. He and his brother are fishing guides that we also had trip with. Their services are second to none. You will not regret booking a stay and a charter.

Better than the pictures!

This is a great (literally on the water) spot in a really special part of Florida. Space is as cute as it looks. Back porch gives more than a 180 degree view of the water and the sunsets were amazing. Nearby neighborhood dock is perfect for swimming. Kayaks took us Three Sisters Springs. Could not have been a better long weekend. Already booked to come back soon!

Great place

What a fun house to stay in! Nice porch to enjoy coffee in the morning- dock to fish off of- lots of local restaurants near by- spring near by! The owner also captains and we used him twice! Picks us up right at the house! Super easy! We will be coming back!

Awesome Place

Awesome water location/views of Crystal River, higher end, well-appointed kitchen with everything you need to cook, eat and drink. Nice amenities and extra items such as beach towels, couch throws, excellent mattresses. Very clean and safe, quiet location. Only thing not included is a hair dryer. 2nd floor living with very nice balcony.

The Boathouse

Love the Boathouse. Plenty of vehicle parking and parking for my 27' boat and it's trailer. Beautifully decorated house with new appliances. We were there when rains set in and we enjoyed waiting out the storms because of the great views from the house. Looking forward to renting again.

Relaxing stay on the bay

Great little house on the water for our family of 5 for 2 nights! We loved kayaking, playing in the water, and porch sitting. We even saw some manatees right off the dock! House was clean and had everything we needed.

Great property and great location

We had a quick 3 night's stay, over Mother's Day weekend. The property is well equipped and comfortable. The location is great. The floating dock was perfect for our 24' boat. The docks below are very interesting and good for fishing as well. We really enjoyed our stay and very happy overall.

Extremely Clean - Perfect Location

My family and I stayed here during February break. The location is minutes from everything you want to do in manatee country! A Winn Dixie is about 1/4 mile down the road, as well. The house is elevated so you feel like you are waking up in the "sky" and the morning sunsets are amazing. We saw eagles and manatees right off of the porch. The house is immaculate and the owners left us coffee and hot chocolate pods for my kids. There were kayaks to use, unfortunately we just did not have the time. Great place!

Great winter fishing trip

Newly renovated historic boat house. "Downstairs" is a small marina with docks to explore. Lots of fish and manatees to watch. There's an active spring under the docks which draws in the underwater wildlife. We didn't use the kayaks but there's plenty of water to explore from the boathouse. "Upstairs" is a very clean, newly renovated living space. Great view of the waterfront and well places curtains for privacy and sunlight management. New furniture and kitchen appliances. We used the gas grill every night it wasn't raining. We had a great stay and will be back in April. Highly recommend.

Amazing Get Away!

My husband and I spent 5 days in this quaint boathouse. We stay at VRBOs frequently, and this was by far one of the cleanest! Also very well equipped to make our stay quite comfortable. We could not beat the location as all of our excursions were no more than 20 minutes away. Owners, Zach and Memphis made sure we knew they were just a phone call/text away if we needed anything, or had any questions. Loved spending time on the boathouse kayaks! We paddled all over King’s Bay. We saw many manatee and dolphins. My favorite part was getting up in the morning and sitting at the window looking out over the bay and watching the manatee as I had my coffee. My husband and I had a great time and highly recommend staying here. We will be sure to share our experience with family and friends!!

Water lovers retreat!!

We know Crystal River well and were excited to find out that this property was available to rent. The views are awesome, manatees, fish, rare birds, you name it. It feels like you are on the water and away from everything, while only being a bike ride away from tons or food, and activities. In addition the owners are incredible fishing guides and just overall great people. Well be back!! Thanks!!

Fun Historic Crystal River Cottage

We very much enjoyed our stay and would come back again. Having grown up in Crystal River many years ago, I've always loved the look of the old overwater boathouses but have never had the opportunity to stay in one. If the boathouse cottage is not an official historic building, it should be one as these were the heart of the community. They have renovated the inside very nicely and everything was easy and clean!

Amazing location!!!

We love coming to Crystal River and staying at The Boathouse made it a tremendous time! The location is quaint and the view is great for sight seeing right from the back porch. This place will not disappoint and you will feel right at home.
