Solitude, Serenity with views
Our 2nd stay here and we plan to come back next summer for 2 or 3 months. Love the beautiful, flower filled pasture in front and the mountains in the distance. Dogs loved chasing squirrels and woodchucks. Would suggest instructions for the heater be included. We had trouble getting heat when we needed it and could only turn it off by unplugging. Would also suggest the trees alongside and overhanging the driveway be cut back. We have a 9' high camper van that scrapes the rooftop A/C and the sides of the van and our car as we go up and down the driveway.

A very cozy and comfortable cabin with views that seem to change by the minute as you have an amazing vista of the mountain range. So peaceful, relaxing and beautiful.

Absolutely gorgeous views from great cabin
We fell in love with this property based on the views, and they did not disappoint. Our kids loved the cabin, and we all enjoyed the hot tub and the trail hike on the property. It was the perfect mountain weekend!

Cabin was well stocked and in good condition. Outstanding views and very private. Minor issues (wasps/bees near hot tub, dining room chair fell apart). Bit far from most activities, but that was known and not an issue when we selected. Would stay there again / recommend others consider this property as a good option.

Everything I was hoping for. Best VRBO ever and we've stayed in a bunch.
Gorgeous view across the flower filled pastures toward the hills. Every appliance we could have wished for - especially a Keurig. Quiet!! Peaceful. Nice place for our Rhodesian Ridgebacks - they took an extreme interest in the barn across from the driveway - must be woodchucks there. My husband took them to walk on the logging trail above the property. Good two hour walk. Deer, chipmunks, squirrels and even a bear one day. Dogs were in heaven. Great shower - plenty of hot water, good water pressure. TV was new for us - no previous experience with Roku and although it says Fox News is Live - it is not. But since there is great wifi in the house, it was easy to pick it up live on my laptop. All in all, the best VRBO we've enjoyed.

A Perfect Hidden Gem
Let me just start by saying this property is absolutely amazing!! If you are looking for a beautiful tranquil spot to get away and recharge and/or reconnect with nature this is definitely the place. The home itself is so warm and cozy, spotless and has every amenity you could wish for. The property it sits on and the surrounding area is just breathtaking. Coffee on the front porch every morning watching the dawn break is what every soul needs, along with the walks on the property to explore the natural beauty. Every person you encounter in the area is so welcoming and friendly. There is a great little family owned gas station/store about a mile from the home and they have everything you might need or forget. A short drive to Boone, Jefferson or many of the other small quant towns to explore. Watching the sunset from the hot tub and then relaxing by the fire after a great dinner grilled on the green egg provided on the deck is a perfect way to end a day at Northern Peaks Farm. The property manager Stacey is very proactive and responsive to any of your questions or needs. You can tell that this property is very loved and the owners want to make your stay as wonderful as possible. You cant go wrong with this staying at this proerty.

The perfect getaway
I loved staying at this cabin! The location is amazing and the views are incredible. We were able to easily access great hiking within 20 mins and enjoyed spending time in the town of Boone for a day... although I personally did not want to leave the comfort and beauty of the cabin :) Highly recommend and I hope we can come back for another stay in the future!

A Blessed Thanksgiving
We spent our Thanksgiving and the following weekend at the beautiful cabin. The experience could not have been any better. The amazing views sitting on the peaceful front porch and around the fire pit made it one of the best times away I have ever had, and the perfect Thanksgiving. Visiting Boone and West Jefferson was convenient for shopping and meals out. The cabin is beautifully and comfortably decorated, and the woodstove was so cozy on a cold night. We took the majority of our Thanksgiving meal with us, but what we had to prepare was a breeze in the stocked kitchen that had everything we needed. The property manager I spoke with preparing for our trip was so friendly and helpful. The hot tub was amazing as well. Hope to visit again!!

This was my favorite cabin I have stayed at in the NC mountains. Great location and views, the house was comfortable and we enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit. We will definitely be back in the future!

Nice quiet, cozy cabin with some gorgeous views
We just wanted a quiet place to stay where we could see the stars at night and perhaps some sights during the day. This one fit the bill perfectly. A real kitchen, great front porch with stunning views and all in all, quite comfortable. Reasonable drive to Boone or West Jefferson and you can stock food/beverages so you don't have to go daily. Very nice. Good communication, good quality furniture and we will certainly be keeping this place in mind for future getaways. Thanks.

Cabin getaway
We had a great long weekend stay here! The cabin was so cozy and clean. The views were amazing. We enjoyed walking our pup on the trail on the property. Definitely a solid 30 min minimum drive to any of the surrounding towns (Boone or west Jefferson) so we did a lot of cooking in the house. Kitchen was fully equipped with all cooking supplies. Would definitely stay again!
