The cabin was well maintained and immaculate. For me, the big draw was the beautiful piece of trout water that runs by the ranch. Fishing was good.
One of the most important requirements of any lodging facility is the ability to get a good night's sleep. Individual preferences vary, but for me the mattress and pillows were extremely comfortable. Also, the location is perfectly quiet, so there is nothing to disturb your rest.
The cabin was built in 1938 for summer visitors, and as a vintage facility it lacks some amenities one usually takes for granted, such as a bathroom. The clean and modern bathroom is in a separate building, which is slightly inconvenient. Also, the kitchen sink has only cold water. The hosts could install a tankless water heater under the sink, for which there is ample room.
