Great place!
Plenty of room with a well stocked kitchen! The screened in porches are a great place to sit and enjoy coffee in the morning and wine in the evening! There were 8 of s, so we used the air mattress. It was the most comfortable air mattress we had ever used!

Amazing
This home is so comfortable and has everything you would ever need. It was clean and master bedroom bed was comfortable. The screened in porch is just the icing on top of a great place. It’s really well located and we felt very safe. The owners reached out to us the first day via e-mail just to check in which made us feel welcome. I was born and raised in Cortez so know the area well and would stay here again in a heartbeat! Don’t waste your time looking at other properties, stay here!!

Great private location close to Mesa Verde
We had an excellent stay and the 6 of us were very comfortable. The property is 5 minutes from the entrance to Mesa Verde which also gives great access to Durango and Cortez.

Family getaway
Wonderful weekend spent with husband, mother in law, daughter and her boyfriend. Close to park, and great restaurants (Chavolos was authentic and delicious!). Serene grounds, daily visit from deer and hummingbirds. Wonderful time spent with family and unwinding/unplugging from work.

Lovely home
The house is beautiful and the screen enclosed porches are wonderful. We really enjoyed the privacy. The house is furnished beautifully. The beds were super comfortable, and the showers are really nice. There could be a few more things in the kitchen, such as we were looking for a carrot peeler and tongs, and couldn’t find any. But that really was no big deal. We did see some deer one morning and several chipmunks. It was nice to be able to park our cars in the garage. We had a great time and would love to come back.

Great house! Great location!
The house was everything I hoped it would be: secluded/but not too secluded, close to Mesa Verde, clean, and comfortable. I rented the place for a trip to Mesa Verde with my son and my parents. Everyone on the trip is hard to please, but they all loved the house and really enjoyed staying there. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the area.

We visit every year for my brother's memorial at Alta Lakes... I am originally from Cortez and have family and friends there... This beautiful home was a great change to camping or hotels.... such a beautiful quiet place.... And it had everything you could need..

Another Great Trip
This was our second trip to the Mancos house. Always clean and comfortable. We have 7 in our family. Kids have plenty of room to play outside and inside. Outdoor patios are a wonderful bonus.

Beautiful Home with a great location Crazy stuff happened but the owner and manager were FANTASTIC
From start to finish this was a great stay. I had contacted Twyla before arriving to just let them know we would be there a tad early. At that time we were informed that the driveway had just had new gravel placed. Since the 3 couples were on motorcycles this was very important info. As my husband and I went up the driveway all was good until we hit the middle and the gravel was super deep and we sunk and went over. Thankfully not hurt and for the rest of the trip all of us went out the other way. The house was perfect and had everything we needed in the line of kitchen utensils etc. So thankful for a crockpot because we could get our meal ready and head out for a day of exploring. Watching the humming birds is a real treat and there are so many. Not to mention we saw wild turkey a deer lizards and chipmunks in the yard. The screened in porch was one of all of our favorites spots to hang out and drink coffee or just to relax. The front patio you can see Mesa Verda National Park which was amazing. That is a must see but plan on a full day!! I can honestly say that out of all of the VRBO that we have stayed at over the years this house didn't have anything we needed that wasn't available!! The firepit outside was also a nice addition for a evening chat with our friends. I had made a mistake when booking the house and messed up the date leaving and none of us caught that until Twyla thanked us for our stay thankfully that got worked out with ease. Then on the way up the last day one of the bikes got sucked in by the gravel again and went down. This time the rider wouldn't be able to ride anymore for this trip. Thankfully Twyla and Christine again were more than accommodating and said if necessary we could leave the bike in the shed and come back for it. They were very apologetic over the whole situation and extremely helpful. Thankfully a UHaul was available and the bike got to go home with the rest of us. We would rent this house again because it is beautiful and the location is great but I think we would bring the jeep!!!

Comfortable house, great location
Enjoyed a comfortable stay at this property. The screened in porch was great - we ate dinner out there every night. Location was great for visiting Mesa Verde National Park of course, but also not far to Cortez for dining out and shopping for supplies. The instructions and info for guests could have been a bit more detailed in my opinion. The key situation was a little confusing. I received a quick, albeit brief, response from the host when I asked about what doors the keys opened (they don't open the front door). Would have been good to know ahead of time there were only 2 rolls of TP per bathroom, since we were staying several days. I know it seems minor, but it was annoying. Also, we had to get up pretty early the day of checkout in order to complete all the required chores and check out before 10. I think the management company puts a little bit too much burden on the guests by asking us to do all the dishes and put them away before we leave. Also, one wonders how well prior guests cleaned the dishes before they left. We actually washed everything before we used it. Nice house, but felt like the management company cut corners that diminished the experience.

Amazing Property!
We were thrilled to stay at this property. It is very convenient for access to mountains, Mesa Verde, and several lakes and rivers. The views are awesome! The back porch is a beautiful and relaxing place to spend time, while the house itself had nearly everything you could ask for. We would love to come back and spend more time at this property. Great location, nice home and furnishings, but…
We really enjoyed our stay in this house. It’s located a short distance from the entrance to Mesa Verde National Park, just on the other side of the freeway, but not so close that you hear the sounds from the road. The house is furnished nicely, modern/rustic style, great open living space, and there is plenty of room for 6+ people. The kitchen has everything you could need and more. We LOVED the wrap-around porch and fire pit! Every bedroom has a door that opens to the enclosed porch with seating to watch the sunrises and sunset. So pretty!! If you want to relax and get away from the crowds and tourists this is a perfect places to stay. The wildlife was an absolute hit! We saw wild turkeys, rabbit, lizards, squirrels, hummingbirds, and a variety of other birds. My kids loved seeing all the animals! This may have been the best part of it all. The only things that left me wanting were in the master bedroom and bathroom. The bedding was old, faded, and the cotton was balling up along the edges and seams. The quilt on the master bed had something crusty still on it. This grossed me out. I didn’t sleep very well because the bed itself was not comfortable at all. And then the shower curtain had orange mildew stains at the bottom. But we would still stay here again, even with old linen, and an uncomfortable bed. Overall, we loved this house. My kids enjoyed the games and the TV too. Super convenient check-in check-out process. And again, the location and wildlife added so so much to our vacation! Great place for families!!

Perfect for Mesa Verde!
Loved our time right outside of Mesa Verde. Great house and great location. Only thing is that only 6 people can sleep here comfortably (not 8), unless you want to sleep in a recliner chair. But other than that, it's a lovely, comfy space with a great location.

Fantastic getaway location
Beautiful home in a very scenic location! This home met all the needs we had during our stay to allow for my family to comfortably relax and enjoy some quality time together. The view of the mountain in the front was beautiful and and we even got to see a few deer during our stay. Short drive over to Durango and directly across the street from the Mesa Verde National Park. Highly recommend!

Very Comfortable
This vrbo is one of the nicest we've stayed. We are a family of 7. Kids ages from 6 to 17 and everything was very comfortable! We came up for the snow. Kids had plenty of room to play and explore and the house was so warm. It was wonderful to use the garage and the porches were great for removing all the snow gear. We will definitely have to come back in the summer and really enjoy those porches. Also great location to explore Mesa Verde.

Across Mesa Verde National Park
Last year, we also took a pre Christmas vacation to see snow, with no luck. This year, we promised our little one no matter what she would see snow for the first time. Here is a short list of the highlights... "** It snowed before we arrived. The soft, fluffy snow lasted the week. Perfect temperature. BEAUTIFUL!**" 1. No uphill drive. Property driveway flat, leads to warm garage with garage door opener. 2. Across the street from Mesa Verde Nationalational Park. 3. Beautiful wildlife in the back and the front yard. See pictures. 4. Central heating. 5. Huge master bedroom with sitting areas, big screen TV, huge walk-in shower, jacuzzi tub, 6. Lots of plush throw rugs on wooden floor. Very much appreciated after a steamy bath to keep the room cozy. 7. Tons of storage, hot chocolate, tea, spices, convention oven and microwave and glass top stove. Every pot, pan, appliances, just like home. 8. Fire Stick, Prime, Disney Plus. 9. Decorated for Christmas inside and out, complete with Christmas Tree. 10. Washer/dryer. ***Clean, clean, clean*** This was our best family vacation yet! The home is located on acres of private property with its own private road that the owners have plowed. Also, everyone who travels to Colorado for the first time wonders if they should rent a 4x4 vehicle, etc. Luckily, this property easily accessible down a short driveway right into the warm electric garage. In addition to the ride on the Polar Express, visiting the cliff dwellings, the local cuisine was great; very eclectic. We even rented this home at a fantastic price!! We really lucked out on this VRBO home! Thank you owners!! Also, we truly appreciated all the lotions and beautiful glass jars full of cotton fluffs and q-tips! Merry Christmas!

Peace and tranquility.
This house has nice all around peacefulness. A beautiful setting with awesome views of Mesa Verda and the surrounding mountains. A small herd of Mule Deer would visit plus some smaller animals. Just a very pleasant location to have time away from the everyday hustle Thanks
