The rental was clean, well stocked and beautiful inside. The unit had everything we needed. It far surpassed other vrbo's we've stayed in at other beach towns. We loved the layout and modern decor. The outside shower was a real plus! There are a few negatives. It would be quite a walk to the nearest beach access, though it's a very quick drive. The deck is very small and your only view is of other rentals. The walls are also very thin, you can hear everything going on outside, but given when we stayed it wasn't that big a deal. It might be an issue in the summer. I was a little disappointed that I didn't get an email about how to access the property a little earlier. I sent them an email the day before our reservation asking for instructions. I guess they don't send them until the day of. I will mention that the last time we were in Port A was before the hurricane that wiped out everything on the island. I'm not impressed with what this once beautiful place has become. There are rentals being built on every square inch and fast food restaurants are now competing with quaint locally owned restaurants. There's now a strip club there, naughty lingerie shop, vape and tobacco shops and the like. All of that may be why girls were at the beach in g-string bikinis. I loved Port A when my daughter was young because it was small, local, and very family friendly. This trip was my daughter's request, she wanted to spend her 16 the birthday at one of her favorite beaches towns from her childhood. Both of us left feeling like we probably wouldn't want to come back given what kind of place it has become. Very sad.
