Not clean
Spent 3 hours cleaning as soon as we got there. Had to send 14 photos to Vacasa customer service after I cleaned and some before, to prove that there were problems with food on floor in several areas, hair on beds, finger smudges all over fridge handles, dirty microwave and we could not use the first floor bathroom (see photo) a large bag with a plunger in it with used toilet paper, etc was sitting in the bathroom. Strange. Also, mildew on shower curtain, so spent a long time wiping that down plus old dirty shower head - had to clean that too for the kids to use. There was also stool residue in one of the bathroom toilets, which of course I had to clean as well for my family. Very gross and unsanitary. I have NEVER ever felt compelled to write a bad review and this is my first time ever writing a review. I will make sure to let others know about this terrible customer service and unsanitary conditions. I am a physician and was looking forward to this, but I should have heeded to the reviews about this place that mentioned the poor cleaning.

Nice Vacation
This property suited our needs for two families with five children. The location to the beach was about a six minute walk. Access to the pool and a hot tub were greatly enjoyed by our children. Overall the property was a little more rundown than we thought would be from the pictures. We appreciated having use of a beach cart. However, the beach chairs and bikes that were left there were almost unusable. There were a decent amount of flies and spiders. I’m not sure if this is some thing that can be sprayed for. When we got there, the trash was overflowing as it was not taken out on the trash day, and we found that a shower curtain it was completely encrusted with mold and dirt. One of the toilets was clogged and the plungers did not work for us.. It took multiple times, communicating with the property manager to get somebody out to fix those two issues. We started calling Monday morning and somebody was there Wednesday afternoon. The person who did come out to fix these issues was very friendly and helpful. Overall, we enjoyed our time there on the property and the location in Corolla.

Great location and nice house
Great location if you want to be close to beach- house was pretty clean however, vacasa only provided one trash bag for an entire week of 8 people. some of the beds were made up and some were not upon check in- food was under some of the beds. In general a nice hone, close to beach , nice community, just would be helpful if vacasa would leave more supplies for trash, dishwashing, etc .

Hot tub not working.
It was a nice place; clean, good location, big enough for our family. However, the first day of four we contacted them about the hot tub not working (the main reason we booked this house) and they never fixed it and never reached back out about getting it fixed. It was completely complicated to get in touch with the manager after waiting four days we never got to use the hot tub. My kids were super bummed about that.

Quick weekend trip
Loved the location! Quick walk to the beach. Everything was nice and clean. Weather wasn’t the greatest, but got to spend a little time in the hot tub. Loved that it came with a basketball for the bb court, ball was flat but picked up a cheap ball pump. My daughter was excited to see 3 bicycles, unfortunately the tires were flat and we couldn’t find a pump for that. Overall a very nice getaway, first time to the obx area. Next time we’ll come when the pool is open for the season!

Great family house for OBX getaway
Perfect house for two families of 4. The kids all loved the bunk room, the shared pool and the private hot tub in the back yard. Although the beach was three blocks down, the Trex boardwalk made it easy for walking or scootering from the house. We’d definitely stay at Kite Tales again.

Great location, comfortable unit
Spacious, comfortable unit with reasonable walk to the beach. 3 full baths (one en-suite), powder room in kitchen. Balconies/decks a nice touch. AC works well, plenty of parking. Only minor complaints are noise related, some can't be helped-- toilet flushes very loud throughout the house, neighborhood noisy in the evening and when the trash trucks come (and never seem to leave..) We had a great time!

Relaxing Stay
The house was very nice and the amenities were great. The walk to the beach was a bit longer than expected but thanks to the times in the outside closet we were able to wheel everything down. The house had the perfect amount of space and was very clean. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Wonderful place to stay if you don't have pet allergies
I was very careful to search only "no-pet" houses in Outer Banks. This looked perfect, and it was great for the rest of us! Unfortunately, my son got an asthmatic reaction (that he only gets from dog dander) and we had to rush to Walmart to buy a tent so he could sleep outside for the rest of the week (thankfully the weather cooperated). He felt so miserable! The last day, as we were tidying up the house, we found a bunch of dog hair underneath the couch in the living room. Some jerk(s) must have recently brought their dog during their stay, despite the "no pet" rule. Anyway, If you don't have pet allergies, this place is great! Close to the beach and a great neighborhood where my kids could ride scooters. Would have been perfect without the allergy scare.

Wonderful House w/Great Amenities
We loved this house. Very comfortable,clean and bright! Lots of beach chairs and sand toys and two Bicycles. Great association with pool and volleyball court which we took full advantage of. Only issue for me was that there was no “outdoor shower.” It was a shower head on the side of the house that was cold and you couldn’t really shower, just wash off the sand. Other than that everything was amazing and definitely will stay again! Thank you!

Great Family Beach House
This is our second stay at Kite Tales and we will be back. They house is well maintained and perfect for a family vacation. The house comes with all you need from beach accessories, bikes, hot tub, grill, etc. Easy access to beach with a 0.4 mile walk on the path. The rental management company is responsive. I would recommend this property.
