My family and I were so excited to stay here for a night during our vacation to Glacier. My kids are 8 and 5. The check in host was friendly and gave us a lot of info. But Honestly, the property itself was underwhelming and I felt like the listing on vrbo was misleading. All the photos are so magical looking, and while I understand you need to market to get people to want to stay at your here, it wasn’t that magical at all in person. My husband kept calling it “the hobo village” if that gives you an idea…. The bathrooms were smelly, small and very far away from our tent. I guess I wasn’t expecting the community like setting to be so…. Crowded. There was zero privacy, people everywhere. While everyone was friendly, I though this would be a quieter part of our stay. Our tent was basically right next to another cluster of tents. With two small kids I felt like I was constantly telling them to be quiet so as to not disturb our neighbors and it sort of ruined the fun for them. In the morning the showers and toilets were completely backed up and water was pooled in the bottom. It was so gross and smelled terrible. Not to mention every time we needed to use the restroom there was always a line. My husband and I are tall, and couldn’t get our heads to the top of the mattress because it was pushed so close to the side of the tent so we slept with our feet hanging off the end of the bed. I hate leaving negative reviews, and usually never do. But this felt sooooo overpriced for what we experienced I wish I would’ve seen a review like this before I booked it. I wouldn’t stay here again- especially not with little kids. I love the concept- and it felt good to have a more carbon neutral stay as part of our trip, but we were pretty glad to be out of there in the morning. I’m thankful I didn’t decide to stay more than one night.
