In its heyday this place was a gem. Forty-four years later it needs much repair and updating. The first day a family member took a shower in the Jack and Jill bathroom. The shower was clogged and flooded the bathroom. Called VJ and he was quick to send a repairman to unclog the drain. It was obvious this had happened previously as there were water stains on the baseboards of the bathroom. This was just the beginning of the structural issues with this house.The house was not cleaned before our arrival as someone had written a date in the greasy, grimy oven hood.Mouse droppings in the pantry, uneven floors, the sauna did not work, floors uneven to the point that doors would not close or open fully, hole in the roof which caused leaking in the upstairs bedroom. The only pillows were ones with the shams on them. They had been stuffed into the shams so much that they were tied on. Did not notice this until we were stripping the beds but makes me think they had not been washed.I would like to discuss with VJ and VRBO a partial refund as this is not up to VRBO standards. It's going to take much work to bring this house up to the standards I am accustomed to with VBRO. I would write much more but am limited to 1500 characters.
