The house itself was small but well-appointed for visitors. When a storm came through, Marilyse checked on us and our comfort level. “Pearl was friendly, knowledgeable and quick to respond to pick ups and information. Houseboat was warm and clean when we arrived. Only issue we had was the heater was not working properly (which Pearl warned us about) but it was quite a dangerous situation as flames we coming out from behind the heater and making the heater black. “We were excited to stay on a boat again, as we had done in Boston and had loved it. Upon arrival, we noticed this boat was older, which i have no problem with, but it was dirty overall. We did not use the kitchen (which would have been great for just having breakfast in, at least). Coffee pot was at least 30 years old and looked it (we had one early in our marriage). The sponge in the kitchen was old and has hair on it. I found 2 orthodontic rubber bands on the floor, one by the dining room...
