“We had a week’s stay at Orton Hall in Nell Gwyn Cottage. The front room and bedroom were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped, but it all felt a bit dated. The grounds were lovely, but unfortunately it rained every day we stayed there, so we couldn’t really explore them. However, we did discover a chocolate factory in the village which we very much enjoyed, as well as a very tasty cafe for a full English breakfast nearby. “We were a party of 10, getting together to celebrate the 60th birthday party of 2 family members. The house was beautiful, plenty of room for everyone, although to be honest we spend most of our time in the cosy but large kitchen and adjacent games room. Many period features allowed you to really experience how they used to love. Kirby Stephen high street was a stones throw away, making it convenient for local shops and pubs. Would highly recommend for a large family get together”

“Steve was a fabulous host and really went out of his way to make our stay a memorable one.We arrived to the beautiful Orchard View Cottage in horrendous weather and we’re super happy to see how gorgeous Orchard View was. The cotrage has been beautifully finished and all home comforts have been catered for.We managed to get out to the local pub on NYE and had an amazing meal and a great start to 2025.”

“Westmorland hotel is a no brainer as a stopover for the 10 hr journey to the Scottish Highlands. I have not met such friendly and helpful staff in a long time. The room was vast with great views. We walked down to the farmshop and bought some goodies. In the morning we turned left out of the hotel and had a lovely short walk along a quiet lane. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and the food was fresh and tasted amazing. I cannot believe how convenient it is for the M6.”
