Labor Day in Rockford Bay
House-great view. Bedrooms-clean and spacious. Kitchen area open. Theater room really just theater seats and a TV. Parking rough but expected.
Issues: Pics show a tram to the dock-doesn't work-In their defense they don't say there is a tram but the pictures imply it. It's almost 100 steps from kitchen to dock, tough if older/injured. Steps in much worse condition than pics show.
Hot Tub: only way to get to it is to climb up a set of exterior stairs (you can see them in photo showing house from dock). Very tight up there; most people cant put cover back without help. Elderly/injured may not be able to use
Dock is sweet! The problem: It was covered in goose crap and spider webs (I have some pics). Hadn't been cleaned or used in a while. We had boats inbound and used snow shovel & mop (all we could find) to clean it ourselves. Asked for partial refund (we pd +8k for the place-dock is highlight and not cleaned AT ALL? Hoped for half day or 1 day refund). The reply: "so you are going to leave a bad review without a refund? how much do you want?" which we never said or implied and I reminded them of. We just wanted to know owners thoughts on if that area should be clean or not, and would have included their actions here had they done anything. Stay there again? No-Lots of places in that bay and nearby r newer, cheaper, and probably less hassle. The pics of that place were way better than reality. There's more (check-in/garbage removal) but no room- BL go elsewhere
