“Small, quiet and cosy well-equipped cottage, immediately on the sea front with private deck area and pebbled beach, with main beach roped off and sloping down to sea. View of sea from inside cottage is more limited, but side windows do give a reasonable view. I was there on my own and although the cottage is equipped for 2, it would probably feel cramped for more than a couple of days if more than 1 person was staying there. “We have just returned from a wonderful holiday! The property is great, and the view over the loch is magical. We saw seals and dolphins from the window. There are so many comfortable places to sit and watch the wildlife. The beds were very comfortable, and the property had everything we needed. Rhona the owner was very helpful, and the neighbours were so friendly. The area is beautiful - we enjoyed walking along the canal and around the forests and visiting places along the way. ”

“We were very nervous about this property because Expedia/VRBO did a horrible job of communicating check in .. instead of telling us to contact the host all they need to stay is that keys would be available. That barge is not pretty from the outside, but amazing and unique . Great beds, view of the harbor, and big shower are just a few of the cool feature. We had ducks and swans passing by our window all evening. The location could not be better, across from two good restaurants and a bar....

“My daughter and I absolutely loved every minute of our stay at Lochead Chalet. It's in a wonderful spot right on the loch side, and oh my it is so very peaceful! The chalet itself was a perfect size for we two adults and our little dogs and we found it very clean and well-equipped with everything we needed. Karlina in the Ellary estate office was lovely too. A beautiful location for a holiday and a charming place to stay - highly recommended. ”

“Had an amazing time on Arran, The Mill Barn was a perfect location to explore all around the island with everywhere within east driving distance. The bus from the Mill Barn to Blackwaterfoot was less than 5 min away ideal for going to The Kinloch Hotel for a drink or food.Mill Barn was spacious and everything catered for.Ruth was always in touch and was happy to accommodate check in and check out times which was really helpful. Would definitely venture back to Arran in the future. ”
