The first thing we noticed when we arrived was the incredible preservation of this old factory's industrial history - from the old smoke stack (of course, without the smoke) to the huge windows (new but they kept the original style) - we loved it all! Our 8 year old and 5 year old granddaughters were thrilled about getting to stay in the spacious loft with a king-size bed and their own bathroom.
The location was central to several family members who lived in the area. There was plenty of comfortable seating, which made it a great place for hosting our Christmas get together. Everyone enjoyed themselves and commented on what a nice place we were staying in. We didn't get to visit the brewery right next to us but from the outside it looks like just as cool a space as where we stayed.
The Smart TVs in the living room and both bedrooms and the free Wi-Fi made it so easy to login with our own apps to watch favorite shows. The electric fireplace added a nice ambience.
The high ceilings added to the spaciousness of the place. I wondered how evenly the place would heat with such high ceilings but the adjustable heating did an excellent job!
I had many questions about the handicap accessibility before even reserving the space; and Jason was prompt and patient with his replies.
The checkin process was a little confusing for us at first; but both Jason and the staff were extremely responsive and helpful to my husband throughout our check-in process. Knowing that both our apartment and the building itself was protected by code-pads made us feel very safe, so the temporary confusion was worth it.
The mattresses were FIRM, for anyone wondering.
We took the grandchildren to the Creation Museum, which is only a 45 minute drive from here. I was the only one who had been there before - both my 63 year old husband and young granddaughters had fun and learned new things! The museum, although a little pricey in my opinion, has free admission for children 10 and under and a free-to-everyone "Christmastown" during the Christmas season, which is several acres of gorgeous Christmas lights and music, ziplining, a petting zoo, live nativity, storytelling, and a playground.
Even though we don't have a dog at the moment, the pet friendliness of this place is a huge plus - they even have bags hanging by the front door!
The many k-cups of different kinds were also a thoughtful touch.
If you want a unique, secure, and spacious place to stay, this is it!
