“We had a 5 day trip and found the cabin to be in a great location for some local meandering on scenic drives, walking along the creek, dinner at Sage Lodge and an evening at Chico Hot Springs (great soak and then a casual dinner at the Chico Saloon). We also spent 2 days at Yellowstone and found the drive to be pretty easy to the north entrance. Looking forward to going back for a longer stay!”

“The Schoolhouse Cabin was an absolute delight! It is located off the beaten path, a bit remote, quiet and peaceful with a stream running through the back of the property. It was also spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for our week exploring Yellowstone. The owner was a great help in working out our plans. Would not hesitate to stay here again.”

“Increíble. El hotel es un espacio muy pequeño pero hecho y mantenido con MUCHO amor y esmero. Las tipis están en perfecto estado y tienen una ubicación espectacular...abrir el tipi y ver las montañas nevadas de frente es más de lo que esperaba. Los baños son compartidos pero en PERFECTO estado y constante limpieza. El desayuno es variado y rico. Mi única sugerencia es que podrían utilizar menos vajilla desechable. ”

“Adding AC would be nice. That’s the only negative thing i could say. It got a little warm inside on those 105 degree days. The drive to the cabins were a little remote but wouldn’t detour us from renting again. Overall very nice places”

“You can’t beat the views and solitude this house offers. Sitting on the porch with a cup of coffee watching the rabbits and chipmunks scamper in the yard - perfection. Great access to Gardiner and the north entrance to Yellowstone. We even took a drive over to Idaho and did some exploring. For sure you should have a 4wheel or all wheel drive vehicle- the road to the property is winding and has some steep spots. Kitchen was well stocked and the house was cozy. We would for sure stay here...

“We loved the coziness of the cabin and the location, wow! The views are beautiful from any direction. You are literally in the middle of the mountains with so many mule deer and elk to watch. The cabin had everything we needed and more. The bed was very comfortable and the fireplace was a nice addition. Perfect!”

“We could not have asked for a better place to stay during our visit to Montana/Wyoming. The house was wonderful; very clean and had everything we needed. Sitting on the deck, watching the mountains and Yellowstone River was very peaceful and relaxing. It was exciting to watch the 40 to 50 Elk and geese, on different occasions graze in the yard then swim across the river. We only wish we had a longer stay. ”
