“My husband and I along with our 2 small dogs had a wonderful stay at this lovely mountain retreat. The cabin was clean and comfortable and had everything that we needed to cook breakfast and an easy dinner each evening. The property was beautiful with lots of tall old growth trees that were beautiful with the fall colors and even though it was in a community you felt like you were in a secluded mountain retreat because most of the homes were obsured by the trees; and it is on a dead end road...

“The cabin was in a beautiful community and setting with a fabulous outdoor area facing the woods. Many amenities in the home that made our stay easy with nicely renovated interior. Owner was very willing and able to offer help with anything and was receptive to feedback. Thank you!”

“We were visiting with family in Boonsboro and arrived late in the evening and left by 9am, but everything was there that we would have needed for a longer stay, which we have planned for Thanksgiving. Kitchen was very well equipped, the space was inviting, the beds were comfy and the view out the back was great, Looking forward to our return!”

“My friends and I always choose a new cabin for our annual fall getaway. We've not had a bad experience yet. Mountain Mama's Woodpecker Woods did not disappoint, either! Comfortable, warm, clean, spacious log cabin. It had everything we needed. In fact, it was so relaxing, we never made it to the hot tub. We did visit Harper's Ferry Park and enjoyed walking the hiking trail to the downtown area. :-) We especially loved the close proximity to the Washington, DC Metro area. If there was anything...

“Stayed here to visit the local state parks with my family. Absolutely loved having space away from neighbors, the deck was so wonderful. The indoor fireplace was a wonderful addition for our cozy November movie night . Really appreciated the comfortable beds and clean linens! We got great use out of the kitchen, we cook a lot as a family! Made use of what was available but if you’re making big meals maybe bring your larger skillets and sharp knives. Definitely works for simpler meals....

“Comfy cabin with everything topline. Loved the sunroom and the steam shower. Daily watching deer feed and stroll through the yard below. Gus wasn’t happy about it but he still watched through floor to ceiling windows.”
