My family spent Thanksgiving at this beautiful property. The cabin is super clean and super cozy. The host Alissa is as good as it gets. She is awesome and attentive to everything. The historic cabin was rebuilt using hand-hewn logs, giant wood-burning stove to watch while lounging on the leather couch. The cabin is very tastefully decorated - relaxed and fresh (think Joanna Gaines' "farmhouse chic". The kitchen has everything you need (pots, pans, cutlery, coffee maker, spices, etc.) with all of the modern conveniences. Several covered porch areas overlook the surrounding woods and an outside fire pit. 2 bathrooms and 2 bedrooms with comfy beds. Wifi in the cabin works great.
The property is a mix of open rolling terrain surrounded by steeper forested hills (including an awesome sled hill). There is a children's playground area right next to the cabin. The owners are super responsive and live on the property if you need anything. My son was thrilled with the tour of the many farm operations. We fed chickens, played with goats, learned about sugar maple sap collection for syrup production. There is a high-tunnel and preparation for future vegetable production. You can buy fresh eggs right on site for your morning breakfast. Close to Allegany, E'ville, Buffalo, Fredonia, skiing at Cockaigne is 5 minutes away. We live in Williamsville and arrived in 55 minutes. Just go - this is the one..
