The property was just okay. The couch was strictly for looks. It was so uncomfortable. However, the property is located in uptown which made traveling to the places we wanted to go convenient and easy.
The communication and customer service were miserable. I requested an early check in via email, then their portal, and left a message by phone and never got a return call. When it was time to actually check-in, my code was not working so I called the number listed in the email. Somebody finally answered. She then tells me that my requests were overlooked and that they wouldn’t be able to accommodate an early check in, it was 2:58p and check in was at 3p. But there was no lack in the emails I was sent “reminding” me of all the rules and the hundreds of dollars they would charge me for breaking any of them. And the charges in the email were different than the charges listed on the refrigerator. The unit was supposed to be non-smoking but our unit smelled like stale cigarette smoke and pine-sol. Someone had mopped the elevator and left small puddles of mop water on the elevator floor.
The parking pass looks like it was an arts and craft project from an 8–year-old or the bathroom key for a gas station.
I will not be returning to The Kensington or this host ever again.
