Charleston Birthday Escape

The "Cozy Cottage" was the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of downtown Charleston. Located just outside of town, it provided us with a quiet and clean place to retire after a full day of sight seeing.

Beautifully designed cottage, great yard!

I cannot recommend this place enough! I am a local James Islander whose condo is under reconstruction, and I work from home. This little cottage is nestled in the back of a fenced in private property in a very convenient location, and it has been my home away from home while I’m “homeless.” I just rebooked this place for a third time during my condo’s reconstruction process because I love it so much. The high ceilings, floor length windows, and beautifully designed interior with giant trees surrounding the building make it feel like you are literally staying in a treehouse. It is private with a lovely patio area and fantastic outdoor setup for my little dog, who has enjoyed having plenty of space to play fetch with his ball. The outdoor shower is amazing and I highly recommend using it. The host David has been incredibly responsive and helpful and given us an all round stellar experience!

Mini Getaway

Home is absolutely stunning. You can tell that the owners really thought it through as far as layout, cleanliness, and location. Felt very cozy and definitely something that we would love to return to at our next getaway to Charleston. Close to all your needs and not far from Folly Beach. 🏝️ Only thing I would personally change is to make sure to have spare sheets, covers, and pillows for the sofa/bed. The instructions sheets stated that there were spare items located in the treasure chest but there were none so just make sure to provide for upcoming bookings. But other than that it was a fantastic stay!

Awesome place

We really enjoyed staying at the cottage, it was very clean, in a quiet neighborhood, and close proximity to the beach. The communication with the host was great. Loved the keyless easy entry and best of all our dog was welcomed as well. The huge fully fenced in yard gave us piece of mind when we were all sitting outside. Great place would definitely come back!

Christmas getaway

The cottage is precious and comfortable. Very safe behind secure fence. David and Deidra were very responsive to all questions. Had I read all the information provided at check in I wouldn’t have been such a bother. The stairs up to the loft are narrow and tricky for an older person but worked fine for 30 something’s. Great location loved it!

Very cute cottage.

Cottage was well appointed, quiet and in a good location with a gated yard. We were able to walk our small dog without ever leaving the property. Beds were super comfortable. Hosts were very responsive. Make sure you have BOTH codes (gate and house) before arrival for easy check-in.

Perfect place for a getaway!

The cottage is surprisingly roomy for its size. They used the space perfectly. It was cozy, comfortable , and had everything we needed. The owner was very responsive and worked with our requests. The shared yard is big enough that we never really saw the other guests. The location is also wonderful. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and hope to frequent this little cottage often !!

Cozy retreat

Excellent location

Beautiful little cottage that was perfect for my husband, myself & our lab. 20 minutes to downtown Charleston or 15 minutes to Folly Beach. Our host was easy to work with; communication was excellent! Would definitely stay here again👍🏻

Beautiful Cozy Cottage

We had a wonderful stay here! The house was adorable. It was very clean with well thought out details to make our stay easier and more enjoyable. It's a great location between Folly Beach and Charleston!

Hurricane help

Unfortunately, my wife and I didn’t have the ability to stay in the property. Our weekend was the same weekend at hurricane Ian. The property itself looks really nice. Our only complaint is that with a hurricane our host was not willing to work with us on rescheduling our stay to another weekend due to the hurricane that hit. We understand that the property owner is not required to refund us but, a little flexibility would have been greatly appreciated. Especially with the host indicating that a category 1 hurricane is perfectly fine and “nothing to worry about and normal.” Overall we were really looking forward to our stay but, flexibility to rescheduling to another weekend would have been appreciated with the hurricane that hit.

Close to everything

15 minutes to the county park beach, 10 minutes to Charleston, 10 minutes to Folly Beach Downtown area, 3 minutes to Publix and this little gem is secluded in the backyard of another home - the gated backyard made us feel very safe and it was very quiet. We had great time - would come back definitely. Highly recommended
