“Lovely spacious well-heated house in beautiful countryside. We had a week of snowy weather which was heavenly. Edward, the owner was extremely helpful. He towed out some cars which got stuck in the car park by the house, provided lots of logs, replaced the washing machine which had problems and was generally a great help. This is a house for people who like old books and furnishings...don't go there if you want modern posh.”

“We found the home to be a very nice size with ample room for us. The recent upgrades and renovations were very well done. We did have a bit of difficulty navigating the one way streets for the parking situation. Parking lot across the street was close and free during our stay which was very good. Parking nearly by on the street would have been a challenge. The property was in an area urban renewal. Was well within an easy walk to the High Street. ”

“What can I say , this place is amazing . We got there at 8pm on Friday and was greeted by Annette who was so lovley , she had warmed up the hot tub for us and everything was ready. We stayed in the little red gypsy caravan and it was so cute! Perfect for a couple. Also if you’re a bigger person and worry about beds , don’t worry about it here . “I booked last minute for a cycle event in the area, the directions were easy to follow, if you screenshot them as advised, phone signal is poor to non existent (bliss) The Meadow View Hut is clean cozy and well appointed, the fire burns very warm so one of the provided logs at a time. If you can’t be bothered with the hassle of the fire, the heating is plenty on its own. Falstone is a great staging post for Kielder Forest, and there’s plenty of adventurous things to do near by, endless walks...

“We had a wonderful stay at Settlers lodge. Beautifully decorated and very well equipped! Loved seeing the squirrels around the garden! Set in a great area for walking and exploring. We enjoyed both the local pub and also a takeaway from the nearby pub. Both we would recommend. Cannot wait to come for a return visit . Thanks again!”

“Enjoyed our stay in this country pile. The owner was friendly and helpful and the location was great. We enjoyed a walk around the loch and the views. House decently equipped for self-catering. The issue was the agent company who are managing the property - they failed to update the details on the heating contribution costs, send us any info about how to check-in or pass on the owners details or the owners request for our bank details to return the deposit. ”

“We try and come to Otterburn once a year as we love the area. The cabin was very clean and well stocked with tableware amd cutlery. The veds were comfy abd the hot tub was amazing. The only thing that frustrated us was the induction hob, we have never used one before so took a lot of getting used to despite reading the instructions several times.will definitely be returning and will have hopefully mastered the use of an induction hob by then!”

However, the venue had a wedding on the night of my stay and I would have appreciated a) being told this was the case and b) not being put in a room directly above the room that the party was in. Terrible nights sleep and I’m puzzled why when allocating rooms you would place people in that room.”
