“Give yourself 24 hours to settle in. We arrived in perfect weather for a 4 day respite and only for one day, with land breezes, did we experience some pesky flies. The fresh salt air, wide star-lit skies, 24/7 quiet and mesmerizing moon-glow off the waters, 360 degrees worth, more than make up for any such small annoyance. There is some history to appreciate about the island and the cottage. When you find yourself first thing in the morning checking the tide schedules, you will then realize...

“1. Back porch steps REALLY need work. We tripped down them several times over our stay. 2. Need to add "microwave" to amenities list. 3. If there's an outdoor fire pit, wood should be supplied or it shouldn't be listed as such. Buying enough wood for the weekend if there's none there could cost $50-$60. 4. Everything else was fantastic. Grill, kitchen utensils and appliances, beds, linens, furniture were all great.”
