Great place, great location

We had a great stay at Federica’s place. Excellent pool for the kids, great view to the Tuscany landscape and really nice small Italian city in walking distance which has nice restaurants and nice atmosphere. Federica also gave good recommendations for places to eat and wine tasting. All in all a great pleasant stay which we can recommend to others!

Schöne Lage.

Im Großen und Ganzen waren wir mit unserem Aufenthalt sehr zufrieden. Leider gab es ein paar Schwierigkeiten bei der Anreise, da die Adresse auf fewo nicht gestimmt hat. Leider war das Haus gar nicht geheizt, bei Temperaturen von um oder unter 10 Grad in der Nacht leider nicht optimal. Wir mussten dann die Heizkosten übernehmen. Prinzipiell finde ich das okay, aber eine eiskalte Wohnung auf Normaltemperatur zu heizen braucht ja die meiste Energie, das zu berechnen, fanden wir etwas fragwürdig. Brauchten 2 ganze Tage um die Wohnung auf normale Temperaturen raufzuheizen, was a) nicht gerade gemütlich war und b) kostenintensiv. Könnte man im Voraus kommunizieren. Die Wohnung selbst ist gemütlich und groß. Die Aussicht ein Traum. Leider wurde der Pool inkl. Gartenmöbel am zweiten Tag ohne Vorankündigung weggeräumt. Wir haben unseren Aufenhalt dennoch sehr genossen und können die Gegend nur empfehlen.

Tolle Aussicht in die Toskana

Die Anlage befindet sich in einer wunderschönen Hanglage mit einer fantastischen Aussicht über die Hügel der Toskana. Der kleine Ort Casole d‘Elsa ist zu Fuß schnell zu erreichen. Die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt und schön gestaltet. Federica, die Wirtin, ist unkompliziert und sehr freundlich. Alles in allem eine tolle Lokation.

A gorgeous part of Tuscany

Away from busy tourist spots. The restaurant recommended by our host was in Casole D'elsa Town, within walking distance, and was absolutely excellent.

Great stay near fab village.

This was a fantastic location to explore so many great places (Siena, Florence, Volterra etc). A big bonus to be able to have short drive or 20 min walk to nearby village which had great restaurants and evening events. The pool was great with just enough other families to make it fun, but not too overcrowded. Only downside was beds could do with being updated. Very helpful hosts.

Globalement rien à redire sur le logement, très bon accueil et région magnifique malgré un temps moyen. J'ai mis 4 étoiles au lieu de 5 car il n'y avait pas de télévision pour occuper les soirées pluvieuses.

Een mooi, ruim en schoon appartement op een ruim terrein met prachtig uitzicht en centraal gelegen.

Het appartement ziet er prima uit: ruim en heel schoon. De keuken is ingericht met alles wat je nodig hebt om te kunnen koken. Het appartement ligt op een goed onderhouden terrein met (gedeeld) zwembad. Podere Monti ligt dichtbij San Gimignano en Siena en ook Florence is goed bereikbaar. De eigenaresse, Federica, is bijzonder vriendelijk en behulpzaam. We hebben genoten van ons verblijf en willen zeker een keer terugkomen! Een tip zou zijn de keuken te voorzien van wat meer keukenlinnen. Het is lastig de hele week de afwas te doen met een theedoek.

Logement très agréable, site superbe.

Logement très bien situé en plein coeur d'une région magnifique. L'appartement que nous avons occupé était plutôt confortable, les tables extérieures communes à deux appartements et la piscine ont été très appréciées ! L'accueil de Fédérica, en français, est très très agréable. A recommander !

Lovely location with fantastic views.

We loved staying at the farmhouse! The place is very clean, quiet and welcoming. We sat out in the courtyard in the evening and had some wine and cheese. The pool are is beautiful overlooking the valley and hills beyond. We loved Casole d'Elsa. It is a quaint town high in the hills off the beaten path. We did drive to several other locations including Pisa, Sienna, Volterra and San Gimignano. Casole d'Elsa was our favorite and San Gimignano was our second favorite. The owners prepared a visitors booklet with a map of the local town, reviews on restaurants and the history and highlights of nearby towns. We could not have asked for a better visit. Thank you!

Perfect place for quiet holiday. Great location with plenty of Tuscan villages to discover.

The apartment was delightful, full of Italian charm. The owners were extremely helpful. The swimming pool had a wonderful view and was a welcome relief from the heat. I would recommend a stay in this beautiful location.

Podere Monte Great Centre for Exploring

We had a great time at Podere Monte in Casole d'Elsa. The accommodation was spacious, clean and well equipped. The Owner fasmily were great and helpfull whenever we required it. The position is great for exploring all the famous hill towns in tuscany and in Chianti, the seaside was also in striking distance. The pool area is fantastic, spacious, clean and never felt crowded

Endroit rêvé pour des vacances en Toscane

Appartement confortable bien qu'un peu chaud. L'emplacement facilite la visite des beaux endroits de Toscane: Sienne, San Gimignano, Volterra , etc. L'accueil de Federica était chaleureux et cordial. Peaceful rural retreat on outskirts of Tuscan hilltop village

Podere Monti is a former 19th century farmhouse that has been converted into around six different accommodation possibilities of various sizes. Some of the apartments are integrated into the main building whereas others are located in two or three separate buildings. The location boasts a nice pool with excellent views of the Tuscan countryside, tables and chairs in front of each apartment and the possibility to walk to the nearby village of Casole in around 15 minutes. Casole is an ancient Tuscan hilltop village with three or four places to eat, cash machines and a few shops. The weather at the end of May 2016 was mixed. As a result it was a little chilly during periods of cool weather, especially due to the tiled floors. It is equipped with central heating, however, which can be switched on at any time if necessary. In high summer the cool interior is likely to be highly welcome and once the weather picked up relaxing by the pool with the fantastic views was heaven! Our clean apartment on the first floor had a living room, fully equipped kitchen and a double-bedroom, as well as three single beds up some steps in the open-plan attic. It can sleep four to five persons with ease. The location can therefore be highly recommended and is around one and a half to two hours by car from Pisa airport. We were able to take daily excursions to interesting places such as Siena, Volterra, San Gimignano, Certaldo and Monteriggioni, all within around 30 to 45 minutes' drive. All these places are excellent destinations to visit, being picturesque with a mixture of towers, piazzas, fortified walls, beautiful churches, palaces and places to eat and drink. Our host, Federica, was extremely helpful and willing to offer advice, tips or help on any issue. She also provides a folder in the apartment with lots more information on the surrounding area. We would highly recommend Podere Monti to anyone who wishes to have a quite time in the beautiful, peaceful countryside and explore the surrounding area which is rich in history. A car is an absolute necessity!

Wonderful Place

We stayed just recently in this lovely spot, a family of four with two small children and it was just ideal! The village nearby is utterly charming with stunning views of the countryside. The views from the house were also beautiful. The family who own and run this place are very kind and helpful if you need them but also give you total privacy and you really have the place to yourself. The location is perfect for exploring the beauty of this fantastic area. We had such a lovely time and the cats were a big hit with my girls too!
