Perfect location
The cottage is super cute and cozy. The neighborhood was very quiet. The private beach is just a short walk down the street. Clear water with a sandy bottom. The location was great for visiting nearby parks and preserves. Would stay again.

Cute house in Caseville
Very clean and cute house in a small 1 street neighborhood with a variety of housing. House has been updated and freshly painted. Beds were very comfortable. Shower is very small. House is a 15 minute walk to the neighborhood beach easement on Lake Huron. 10 minute drive to downtown Caseville and 20 minute drive into Port Austin. Overall a great getaway.

WONDERFUL STAY.
This was our second stay here and we enjoyed it very much. The host has added improvements to the property since our first visit and they were greatly appreciated. The cottage was very clean and is in a nice quiet neighborhood with friendly neighbors, short walk to the beach. The lake water was super clear and the bottom sandy. Ashley is a wonderful host and we can recommend a stay at her property.

Cozy and Simple
We spent our anniversary weekend at this charming little house. Had everything we needed, and with the use of the gas grill provided, we were able to have some nice meals together in-house. While we expected the beach to be somewhat closer (as suggested by the pictures online), it was a short, pleasant walk down the street. Everything we wanted to see and experience was close by, an easy 10 to 15 minute drive. We enjoyed our time beach side, as well as eating out at a few of the local restaurants. We also really enjoyed catching the sunsets as well as some late night stargazing at the dark sky preserve nearby. Would recommend for anybody who wants a quiet relaxing getaway for the week or weekend.

Cute Little Cottage Just off of the beaten path
This was a cute little cottage, just a short walk to the beach. I went with my wife, 1 year old son and dog. It was just enough space for us. Initially when we booked, I thought it was closer to the water based on the images included in the booking, I didn't see the description where it said how far away. Though, we though it was closer, it was a very short walk to get to the beach. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at this cottage. The surrounding neighborhood was quite. We would stay here again.

The cottage is located near Albert Sleeper State Park and is less than 1/4 mile from Lake Huron. While small, it is cozy and reminiscent of “old timey” stays at cottages from my childhood. It is simple but comfortable. The beds were supportive and nice. The only thing to be aware of is that the shower is a very small stall unit and is a challenge for a taller or larger person. We appreciated being able to bring our two dogs with us as that is a very desirable amenity while traveling.

Cute tiny cottage
Very clean and comfortable, though a little smaller than I was expecting. Easy stroll to the beach and very nice location. Loved the extra special touches like soft throw blankets to keep warm and fun coffee, tea and snack options.

Great visit.
We had a very good stay at this nicely renovated cottage. Very clean and neat. Located on a quiet street with a great beach/ lake access to clear water with a sandy bottom. We will be going back next summer.

One of those mixed trips, lots to like, but some issues.
One of those mixed trips, listing not up to the VRBO standards we have come to expect when booking in the United States and Canada. Negatives: No dishwasher, no garbage disposal. Property did not have proper doors with deadbolts. Side door had key code access lock, front door was cheap wood with a pop lock! Some of the windows did not have locks. When I spoke to the owner about this security issue by phone she said that they’ve never had any problems before. Small comfort to us, as my husband and I have traveled the world and can tell you from experience that crime can happen anytime, anywhere. We managed at night by locking the storm door to the side door so that someone who may have previous knowledge of the key code could not enter, and we pushed a bench and stacked our luggage in front of the front door with the easily pickable pop lock. The cabinet, vanity and commode were charmingly updated in the bathroom. Shower was less than the size of a phone booth. Fire pit was not prepared for our use, we had to provide our own wood and there were no complementary toiletries. No landscaping to speak of, trim on cottage needed to be painted, window air conditioner filthy, some of the windows opened and were properly screened but the windowsills were filled with dead bugs ( not happy about this as we had paid one of the highest cleaning fees EVER for a VRBO listing) older carpeting in kitchen area, which meant that the floor could not be cleaned and sanitized properly as is necessary in food prep areas. No darkening shades in bedrooms so sleeping in was impossible. Positives: Cottage had good flow and plenty of charm. Almost an exact duplicate of my grandparents cottage in my childhood in the 1960s. Ample hot water with great water pressure (unfortunately it has well water, which comes with a strong sulfur odor and makes lathering soap or shampoo difficult and is not pleasant to drink. There were security lights for at night which was important since we were at the end of a dead end lane and the other cottages around us apparently were closed for the season. Furniture was updated, tasteful, beds very comfortable. Heater was ancient and noisy as hell (woke us up every time it turned on in the night) but worked very well, nice and cozy. Private beach was lovely and the location was great for day trips to the surrounding areas. The owner was easy to reach by phone.
