Beautiful place
We enjoyed the location and the stay. The property was listed accurately. We had everything we needed. I recommend the umbrella and beach chair rental. This was so convenient and I appreciated the recommendation from our host. We enjoyed the beach and local restaurants . The boardwalk was cute but not really our thing. The fireworks on Friday night were surprisingly and very good. We also got to see dolphins and jumping fish. The sand was very clean and soft. We also found the washer and dryer very convenient. The beds were extremely comfortable as well. It was a great first trip to Carolina Beach.

Vacation 2021
The place had enough room for the 7 of us. It was nice, but the cleanliness wasn't what I expected. Needless to say, we left it a lot cleaner than we found it. If you don't mind the footsteps above you that you here at all hours, it is a nice place. The dock heading down to the beach was misleading as I thought you would be down on the beach once you got to the end and not having to deal with the hot sand for another 20 yards to get there. However, I did see that all of the other places up and down the beach were the same, so that was a "Me" thing. The covered deck was very nice and the built in benches on the pier going to the beach were also. My family really enjoyed their stay, but we probably wouldn't book again. However, I do not want to discourage anyone from booking this place as it is very nice. It's all in what you are looking for.

Successful Girls Weekend!
We had the best time this past weekend staying at the Abundance. Caitlin was a great host and helped us with parking and making sure our needs were met. With a short private walk to the beach and a short walk into town for restaurants, we were able to keep our cars parked all weekend. The sunrises over the ocean were unreal! Highly recommend this place!

Second time visitors very pleased
We enjoyed our second stay at this lovely beachfront home. The property manager was communicative, welcoming and accommodating to a request we made about the scheduled dates. The space was perfect for us, our two young kids, and my mom. The slide and swing and playhouse were a big hit with my kids and beach location perfect. We never left the house/beach and had plenty of space on the beach- the perfect socially distant vacation!

Nice, clean spot with a beautiful view
We had a wonderful stay at the property. It was a very easy check-in process and the unit was very clean upon our arrival. the view to the ocean was awesome, and we enjoyed sitting out in the rocking chairs and picnic table. As others have mentioned, there is a family with kids upstairs - so this is something to be aware of as you can definitely hear little feat running around. Also, the water has a sulfur smell to it, but I'm sure this is not uncommon at the beach. Overall, I would definitely stay in this unit again in the future!

Let's start with the Owner lives upstairs. Oh yes, with little children that run around the house early in the morning. That’s certainly not advertised, and doesn’t make for a relaxing morning at the beach. By the way, we have two young boys… It was like walking on egg shells being in the house. The very 1st thing we noticed when we checked in was the broken curtain rods which required us to use a delicate touch when closing them so that they didn’t completely fall off the wall. 2nd was the absence of the fire/smoke/CO2 alarm in the center of the home. The wires were literally hanging down from the ceiling. This is a complete life/safety building code issue. Especially considering there’s only 1 exit, and it’s a sliding door. Next was the number of live roaches we found. Every day we killed 3-5, and those were the one we could kill that didn’t crawl behind the bathroom mirror or baseboards. Then it was the old rusty microware. Yes, “rusty”. The back wall of the microwave is peeling off and there’s rust falling on the base. We didn’t notice it until we heated some breakfast for our son. I caught the weird burnt smell and found the issue. By then, it was too late, and my son was half way through his meal. When I brought the health/safety issue up to the Owner, there was absolutely no response. No microwave for the rest of the trip. The other minor, but uncomfortable issues, related to extremely slow internet, a TV in the master bedroom that didn’t work, the toilet paper holder falling off the wall every time you used it, the yard sale of cheap utensils and cookware, the lack of privacy from the oldest kid upstairs peeking in our windows, the limited parking because the owner blocked 2 of the 3 spots with her golf cart and old Cadillac. Oh, and the outdoor cat “Fisher” that very comfortably walked right in the house, and this was after our puppy was sent home. I’m pretty sure it’s the owners, or it’s been in that house multiple times before. My wife had to pull it out from under the bed. Well, hopefully the owner uses the deposit that she KEPT from us to buy a microwave, hires someone to fix all the broken stuff, and set up a pest exterminator plan. That way, future renters can be a little more comfortable from our experience. I just wish I could post the photos of the roaches, the rusty microwave, and the missing fire/smoke/CO2 alarm here. As an avid renter, having NEVER lost a deposit in 20 years, I DO NOT recommend staying here.

Great spot right on the beach. Clean and comfortable
All in all, this stay was fantastic. Great location just steps from the beach, convenient location to everything in Carolina Beach and about 20 minutes to Wilmington. Everything was very clean. Only two issues to note. First is that I found 2 adult and 4 baby cockroaches/palmetto bugs during the stay. That said, it's the beach and that tends to happen regardless of location. Secondly, the unit is not very sound proof. The upstairs tenants had children and we could hear them pretty clearly. It wasn't a major issue, but just something to consider if you're a light sleeper.

Great place to stay with a great owner! Directions for check in and out are simple. Short walk/drive to EVERYTHING. LOVE the private walkway to beach. It was the perfect place for our family of 7!😊

Great location, comfortable place
My husband and I stayed here with our young children and my mom. The location on the beach and near the boardwalk is perfect. The house was exactly as advertised and was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed sitting in rocking chairs on the deck that overlooked the ocean. The property manager was responsive to our questions and we loved that there was a slide and fort for kids to play in. Only bummer was that we had to evacuate early due to a hurricane. I do not recommend purchasing VRBO insurance as it does not appear to cover having to leave early which is totally unreasonable (it only covers cancellation of >50% of your trip before the trip begins).

Best option on Carolina Beach!!
Such a beautiful home, convenient to the boardwalk , very well stocked, Owner is super sweet I really enjoyed my conversations with her. Will attempt to book this property every year. One of the best vacations we have ever taken. There is no other property like it. We will cherish the memories made here.

Nice family weekend at the beach
This is a great little oceanfront rental space. We had 3 couples, one of whom had 2 small children, staying over a 4 day weekend in mid may. The place was pretty much as advertised in the listing in all respects. You won't find better beach access-it's right out the back door. The weather was mostly pleasant, mild temperatures and a nice breeze, so the AC wasn't challenged. I didn't meet the property owner, who lives upstairs from this unit, but others of our group did and found her very like-able and helpful. Everyone in our group was pretty pleased with this property overall. Pros -Excellent beach access and private sand management (ie, outdoor shower and foot wash) -Excellent location relative to town activities and offerings ("the strip"). We walked for most of our outings -Nice rooms and amenities overall. There appear to be a lot of recent vintage renovations. -Nicely stocked kitchen-assorted pots and pans, glassware, flatware, etc. Enough for our group (6) anyway. -Price is fair for the value. Cons -10:00am check out out time- No time for one last beach outing. -The only grocery store is kind of far, and you have to drive through the busy strip to get there and back. It's only bad if you are, like us, finding yourself needing something all the time. Plan carefully. -Parking could be dicey in season for a group with more than two cars. Our third was able to park just across the street, but that might not be so easy in season. There is a public lot a block away however. -VRBO service fee is too high, IMHO. I guess that is the price of convenience.
