I had booked two rooms for one night for a friend and myself who were walking on the Wales Coast Path. The day before our stay, my friend slipped and damaged his knee and had to go home. We notified the Savoy who had already charged for his room. Despite the best efforts of Expedia through whom the room had been booked, the hotel have decided not to give any sort of refund. I feel that as a gesture of goodwill, they might at least of refunded a portion of the charge.
