Crazy about Carlsbad
This was the perfect beachfront condo, clean and comfortable (with beach toys)! Coffee and wine on the balcony, mere steps to the beach, close to downtown, We loved it and hope to make it back soon! My tip: check out Coyote for great drinks and dancing

Relaxing retreat
Even though the condo was very close to downtown Carlsbad, it was very peaceful. It was right on the beach and we enjoyed listening to the waves and watching people walk by. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect beach retreat!
This property was the perfect spot to relax between sessions at a meditation retreat we attended at the property next door. Quiet mornings and stunning sunsets, fantastic food of all kinds within blocks. Perfect location AND at an affordable price! Some noise to be expected in a condo building. For those wanting complete quiet, the one common wall and ceiling need a bit more insulation. Book it now...you'll be glad you did!

Beach Property
The location is perfect for a stay in Carlsbad. The ocean front and view is incredible. The property is older and it could have a more comfortable couch, but it is completely adequate for a stay. Everything that is needed is there. Good value.

Great value for location
Basic but well maintained condo directly overlooking Carlsbad Beach. Location and views are not to be beat. Condo was reasonably well stocked with basics (but not much more), seemed to be updated in the not too distant past. Bed and living areas were comfortable. Outside furniture could use maintenance/repairs as does the main gate leading to stairway entry to the property (no latch - swings open with breeze had people mistakenly walking around on our patio - used cinder block to keep gate in place). Still would definitely stay here again. Nice place in an amazing location for a decent price.

Basic and Perfect!
Bare bones, but location is perfect and the beach is right there, with a gorgeous view from the patio and in the house. You can hear waves from every room. Steps away from all shops and restaurants. Perfect place to unwind..

All About Location
Other reviewers cover these remarks, but I'll comment. You can't find a better location in Carlsbad. The condo is waterfront and a block or two from the heart of the town. The views are spectacular. That's why I would rent it again. The place was clean but run down. I don't require an elegant or well appointed rental but this had crossed the line to shabby. Location makes up for it from my perspective.

Great location
Very old w lots of coats of paint. He he! Cabinet doors don’t stay shut much. No spices or salt n pepper, but I guess it makes up for the low rental costs w location. This is a no frill condo, but you ca’t but love the view. We did not have any neighbors, but would guess it could get noisy in such an old bldg. no car is necessary w everything a couple blocks away

Amazing Ocean View - Unit needs updates
We selected the property based 100% on the location and you cannot beat it. Literally the ocean is right out the window. No highway or streets to cross as it is right there. We were disappointed in the condition of the unit. It severely needs a new paint job, cabinets, and counters. There is also a unit above and next door so if they are occupied it can be annoying. We heard the people above us every morning at 7:00 am. The wifi also went out and we were not given a number local to call. I called the 1-800 number and all they told me is they are short staffed. So far, I have not been impressed with VRBO. I would still recommend this unit if being right on the beach is important to you (and it was to us). If you want updated paint, cabinets, etc probably not for you. Parking was only a minor hassle for us but probably worse during high season.

Great location for a great price!
Overall, we loved this place and will rent again! Great location just a block from all the action and steps to the beach! We will most likely aim to rent the top floor as the floors/walls are very thin and we could very clearly hear every movement (footsteps, conversations, music, furniture movement, etc.) of the people upstairs.

Beach Meditation
People are happy at the beach, so the vibe is upbeat. The sound of the waves hitting the shore can be heard in each room, a calming experience. My overall impression of the rental is positive and I told many of my friends. It’s great for 1-3 people. The front door is quite heavy with a stable lock. The furniture is well constructed and in good repair. Lots of storage in the bedroom and closet. A few large shelves in the bathroom. One closet has brooms, heaters, fans, a beach chair, boogie board (many other things I didn’t look that hard). The broom was handy because it’s impossible to not track in sand. Glad I could sweep. The living room has a beautiful 100% view of sand and sea. The couch was facing the large tv, though, not the view. So I moved it, orienting it to the view. The glow of the electronics from the comfy bed was a distraction., necessitating The removal of 3 gadgets and need to block the light from the TV. The kitchen has all the gadgets you can want. Really well stocked. Three full ice trays and a lighter for the propane BBQ on the patio. You need to bring shampoo and soap. I suggest some purchased water and ice too.

Spectacular View
I loved the property. Yes, it may seem a little dated in the bathroom and stove but had a new fridge and microwave. TV worked great (we only watched TV for an hour). It was clean and nothing beat the view. You couldn’t be any closer to the ocean unless you slept on the sand. Loved falling asleep to the sound of the waves. I could see where parking would be an issue if you came during a busy time. We were always able to find a spot. Only issue we had was when we left on a Sunny Saturday morning and came back mid afternoon. But we still found parking about 2 blocks away. Would definitely rent again!

The view is beautiful, unobstructed, and beach access is convenient, very close! The apartment was clean and freshly redecorated, updated. Just what I was looking for and met my needs completely! HIghly recommended!

Quiet, private and great view
We had a great stay here. Right on the beach, you can hear the waves.. You have your own private entrance and quick access to the beach. There is a private balcony with a great view of the sunset. The only thing we didn't like was the extra cleaning fee added after we booked the place. There is not a lot of public parking available around this area especially over the weekend so be prepared to park far.

Beautiful Oasis
This property is a little gem. Conveniently just off downtown Carlsbad village, once you’re tucked away inside it’s a little beach oasis. I was worried it would be loud, but all I heard was the sound of the waves lulling me to sleep every night.
