Overall the house was good. There were plenty of positives about the property. The view was fabulous. On the negative side the house could have been a little cleaner. We found mold in 2 of the 3 showers, and we found chip crumbs and French fries in the carpet.

Great two family rental
The house is three levels with two bedrooms on the top floor and two on the bottom floor. The main level has dining and sitting and kitchen and the lower level has the game room with pool table. No TV on the lowest level at all. There is a very small amount of dish soap, 1 roll of paper towels and borax in the house, just enough for 1-2 nights. There is not foil, kitchen counter cleaner or any seasonings at all in the house. The beds in the two queen rooms are very comfortable and have a thick memory foam topper. The two rooms with the single queens are very uncomfortable without any topper. There are probably not enough forks and spoons in the house and with two families you will wash all the silverware each day. The house is water front but the lake is so incredibly low it is not reasonable to walk to it. There is no path so you're walking through the wild in water shoes which is no good. There is a boat ramp around the corner which is easier to access but the ramp is closed because of the low water so you're really just getting a pathway down to the water line which is valuable. There are some people that set up their easy ups down by the water but it is far- like more than 100 yards from the bottom of the boat ramp. The water line near the house is mostly overgrown with lake plants so it's a little yucky. I just listed the cons- but it's a great house and we enjoyed our stay.

Really enjoyed this property!
Stunning view, very well maintained property! For a rental it has a great selection of pans and utensils, that made my heart happy. This home is set up great for family's that love to cook dinner and eat around the table together or the fire pit!with a little down hill walk you can get some fishing or swimming in! Game room was a hit for the kids when they were done fishing! Highly recommended and would stay again! Beware lots of stairs may be harder on older groups, I myself enjoyed it!

The house is very lovely with a great view. Our group was older and it would have been nice to know that there were no bedrooms on the main level. That was an issue for us as some of us were unable to navigate the stairs to the bedrooms..

Great place for a family stay.
Great place, my family loved it! Looked even better in person than it did in the pictures or video. My only concern is that it wasn't accessible for my elderly parents due to the stairs; they had to stay on the main floor and sleep in the living room. Also had some issues with temperature regulation. The temperature on the top floor was too hot and it was difficult to sleep. We tried adjusting it too a cooler temperature, but it would go back to being too hot. Other than that, we had a wonderful stay!

Daughter’s Wedding
This wonderful home was close to the venue for our daughter’s wedding. Through all the hectic activities of a wedding weekend, it was nice to be able to come back and relax at this house, with its beautiful views, fire pit, and game room. The surrounding area was quiet and relaxing. As we sat on the deck, we especially enjoyed the periodic sighting of “nature” wandering by. The beds were comfortable, and there was plenty of room. (There are lots of stairs/steps and levels, so if there are children or concerns with this, be alert.). We loved this home and location and highly recommend it!

Little piece of paradise
I highly recommend the Texas Rose House! We had an amazing host who did not mind quickly answering my text messages about things around the property/town. Everything was clean and there was enough starter items in the home that we did not have to purchase very much which is saying a lot since we had a group of10 people. I was concerned about hot water since there were 10 of us and I saw a prior review about a hot water issues but we had no problems at all with this! The beds were very comfortable, well equipped kitchen, and your choice of multiple lounge areas which was great to come home to after a long day on the lake with 8 teenagers. We will definitely be back! Thank you for sharing your home with our family! My only suggestion: - Update your virtual tour video. There have been a few updates since you recorded that. - Add a TV to the two downstairs rooms.

Memorial Day Weekend Getaway 2022
We were in town for a family wedding which took place in Spring Branch and the Texas Rose property was more than adequate as our base and suitable for our party of eight with some visitors at times. The common area of the home was very open with a wonderful view of Canyon Lake from the picture windows. We spent a lot of time there and on the deck over-watching the abundance of deer and water activity. We took an occasional stroll down to the boat ramp. The AC was excellent and everyone slept comfortably. The water pressure in the bathrooms was excellent and we had plenty of hot water as one of our major themes while there was preparing for a number of events surrounding the wedding. Parking was plentiful but a little steep and on a bend in the road. The drive in and out of Canyon Lake was easy. Lot's great places to eat in the area and everyone was super friendly. The Rose does have some normal wear and tear and we reported a couple minor issues to the property manager who was very prompt to respond to our needs. This could have easily swung to a four star rating had the property manager not been so attentive. Overall this was a very pleasant place to stay and we only wish we had more time to barbecue and take advantage of all the accoutrements the Rose had to offer. After it was all said and done our only regret was we could not stay longer. Thanks for being a wonderful host.

Outstanding view of the lake. Great exposure to deer. Trail to get in shallow area of the lake. Restaurants and grocery store within ten minutes. Rented boat at marina ten minutes away. Less than an hour drive to lots of great Hill Country places.

Enjoyable Easter Getaway
What a great weekend, there were enough bedrooms for everyone to have their own room, comfy beds, the house was clean and the view was beautiful. The walkway to the lake was an uphill hike coming back, too much for some of our older family members, but there is a boat ramp with public parking just around the corner, so we accessed the lake from there and enjoyed playing in the water. We didn't find the deer corn can on the porch until after we purchased a big bag ourselves, so your can is replenished now, LOL! The kids loved feeding the deer. I can't think of anything more we could have asked for or expected, it was a perfect weekend. Thank you for sharing your home!

We loved our stay at this beautiful property ❤️ Eleven of us had plenty of room to spread out in the large comfortable living area, wonderful porch and downstairs game room. My grandkids had the best time feeding the deer, playing in the game room, and swimming in the lake. The bedrooms were comfortable with lots of pillow choices, fans, and extra blankets. The kitchen was easy to work in and had all needed cookware , serving ware and appliances. There are plenty of quiet time area options from swings outdoors to bedrooms away from the noise a happy family creates. One grandson proclaimed it his ‘ Dream House’ while a granddaughter said she wanted to live there. There’s a nice laundry room and three full bathrooms- each located off a hallway in different areas of the house - in addition to the four bedrooms. We all agreed we’d love to return to this amazing property!
