Canyon Lake Fox Trot was Amazing
This property is very nice and very comfortable. We enjoyed the location and the amazing canyon like view out the back. The oversized Swim spa was awesome as well. We loved the screened in wrap around porch and the separated bedrooms from the main house. This was just a beautiful home. We would go back again and stay there for sure! Kim

A great weekend!
We loved our stay! The layout is great for extended families. Sleeping arrangements were a little challenging for us as we have littles, but they enjoyed everything! The screened in porch is perfect for Texas bugs and 100% approved by my mosquito allergic family. Would stay again!

Great Location
Great house in a beautiful neighborhood. Extremely quiet and private. Each room had a large closet with its own full bathroom, which was great. House was clean. Nice area to explore down behind the house. If you plan on cooking, make sure to bring your own dishwasher detergent and/or sponge. Minimal supplies to use on hand at the house. If you plan to use the hot tub, I would request directions on how to use it, as it wasn’t clear how to heat it..

Wonderful Family Getaway
We loved this home. It was a perfect location with restaurants, a grocery store, and local sights within an easy distance. We love shopping and hiking in Wimberly. The hot tub was amazing, and sitting out on the porch in the cool of the mornings or at sunset was my favorite pastime. The beds were also extremely comfortable. The set-up for this home makes it perfect for family entertainment.

We really enjoyed the peacefulness we felt at this home. The unique bedroom layout was absolutely perfect. We ate most of our meals at the enclosed patio table. I highly recommend this home.

WARNING - Ambiguous cancellation policy and no rescheduling allowed
Potential guests should give careful consideration and review of the rental agreement before finalizing a booking for this property. The rental agreement is ambiguously worded with respect to cancellation and does nothing to address rescheduling which is completely up to the discretion of the owner. In my case, I booked only 2 weeks in advance which is already inside of the allowable cancellation period but needed to reschedule to one month later due to one of our kids getting sick. I was refused a rescheduling request based on it being too close to the booking dates although nothing in the rental agreement supports this. The owner just decided not to allow us to reschedule to dates that showed as available at time of request. The owner decided to offer a “cancel holding” which is some obscure policy that is not detailed or mentioned anywhere in the agreement. Our original dates were “released” in the system and the property ended up booking for another 2 nights that started during our originally scheduled dates. Swapping 2 nights for 2 different nights by other guests would seem fair and reasonable but since the alternate guests arrived one day later than our original booking, we were still charged for one night. Can’t comment on the accuracy of listing or the area since we never stayed at the property. I just know we are $300+ poorer for trying to stay here and the owner has decided this poor review is worth the revenue. Take caution on the rental agreement terms!

So Peaceful!
I was worried about traveling/staying on my own but I felt so safe in this neighborhood and at the property! They did an excellent job with the security of it and the layout. It was absolutely beautiful, quiet and the hot tub was amazingly huge! Way too much house for one person, but it was an excellent price and I’ll definitely be staying in the future.

Lovely Getaway
We could not have asked for a better place to stay! We especially loved the setup. We as well as our friend were able to have our own private living quarters with the wonderful floor plan of the house. I wish more properties had this particular layout, including the screened in porch! We spent most of our time on the screened in porch, the swim spa was a wonderful added luxury. You can tell the host takes pride in their home from the pots and pans to the linens on the beds. The bed was also very comfortable which led to a great nights sleep! Overall I rate this property a 10/10 and I highly recommend staying here.

Quiet Weekend Away
This property is just what I needed for my solo mini vacation. It had everything I needed and was not too far from places like a grocery store. I know others shared about critters, but the only ones I saw are all the beautiful deer in the area. It was very quiet while I was there, which was so nice. I could see a house was being built next door, but they didn't work on it while I was there. The indoor pool/spa is one of the main reasons I chose this house and it gave me everything I expected. As a bigger person, I have trouble getting in and out of bath tubs and I worried if I would have the same problem with the spa. I was pleasantly surprised with how easy it was for me to get in and out of. I also enjoyed watching the sun set while enjoying the warmth of the spa. I loved the separate bungalow rooms and see how this space would also make a great retreat for a girls weekend. I would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful scenery and comfortable
My family enjoyed every moment of our stay. Even with the excessive heat, the tranquility of our surroundings were amazing. The beds are comfortable, the outside porch was amazing for our family time. I would definitely love to book again during the winter. I highly recommend this property.

Gone downhill from the last time we stayed
This was our second time staying at the property. We noticed there were no toiletries for use this time (no shampoo/conditioner/body soap like before), and several things were not clean. The shower had someone’s old half used soap in it (SAME AS LAST TIME—GROSS), the floors were so dirty that all our feet were black, and there was a pile of dust on the living room end table that I could run my finger through and make a trail. The hot tub also had the heater broken, so we specifically booked this rental for using the hot tub for sore muscles and it wasn’t even working. Overall we like the location, but the management company has definitely let their quality slide and we most likely will not ever rebook.

Great views and critters!
The property was immaculate and views were spectacular! Communication with the property management was great. When we arrived, everything was clean and spotless. However, the critters were just a little too much for our liking. If you are new to the Hill Country/Canyon Lake area, please be advised that it does have deer, snakes and tarantulas. We didn't see any inside (thank goodness), but literally in the first 15 minutes there was a snake hanging out at the front door and a tarantula skittering its way into the eaves of the house above the garage as the sun was setting. Both of us staying there were either terrified of snakes or terrified of tarantulas and we had to go. No refunds make us extremely sad, but we do hope others will enjoy this place if they aren't concerned with the critters. Again - VERY lovely place!

Nice getaway location
My mid-April stay came just after the peak of wildflower season. The weather & temps were perfect. The large screened-in porch allowed the doors to be left open without insects coming in. It is a lovely, well-maintained newer home sitting toward the top of a hill in the middle of Texas hill country. It is near the lake, but not on it. You'll still need to drive. The view out the back is fabulous. It is in a new subdivision with large lots, so the houses have quite a bit of distance between them. The area is quiet and a bit "in the country" without being isolated. A full-service grocery store is about 25 minutes away. There are convenience stores 7-8 minutes away. The subdivision is full of deer, which roam mainly at night, but you also see a few during the day. The back of the property drops down to a dry creek bed. Perhaps when the drought is over the creek will flow again. I actually enjoyed roaming a mile or two down the dry bed toward the lake. The location feels remote, though you're not terribly far from "civilization." The large hot tub was a nice feature as the day was winding down — particularly after a few miles of hiking. There was a minor issue with the tub's control panel which was quickly addressed by the management company. The washer and dryer were a nice amenity. (I should have packed less and washed.) Note: You will need to provide your own laundry soap and dryer sheets. The BBQ grill is a nice feature. The kitchen is well appointed with the standard appliances, all of which are new-ish and clean. Plates and drinking tumblers will host around 8 people, depending if you use dinner plates as serving plates. Note: there was no dishwasher soap. There is liquid soap for old-fashioned washing by hand, but if you want to use the dishwasher, bring your own detergent. TV is through wifi only. There is no cable service provided. Bring your streaming credentials if you want to watch TV. The overall house design seemed well-thought-out for guests. There are under-cabinet lights that provide reduced lighting for nighttime trips to the refrigerator. Check-in was easy. The garage will accommodate one mid-sized vehicle, but probably not a large truck. I was not provided a garage door opener or code, so I stopped on the driveway, went through the main door, opened the garage, then pulled in. Overall a very pleasant experience with the home and the professional management company. Without hesitation I recommend it.

Wonderful, except the construction ruined it
My husband and I were looking forward to a quiet getaway. The house was very clean and nice, and we don't have any complaints about the house. It is a lovely house. But our hearts sank as we pulled onto the property and saw that a house is being built right next door. Instead of a nice, quiet, (or even semi-quiet) vacation, we had to endure the sounds of construction and a large air compressor from about 8 AM to 5 PM every day. It was a little difficult to hear the noise in the bedroom (but still noticeable), and could clearly be heard in the kitchen and living room, and it was loudest on the deck, as there are only screens and no windows there. Sometimes there was mariachi music. It ruined our vacation. When we stayed (in late Feb), they already had the foundation done and they were putting up the framing for a two-story home. I'm not sure how long construction will last. I wish we had been warned about the construction. We would have delayed our vacation or picked a quieter spot, as it was most important to us (really, the only reason for our vacation) to enjoy peace and quiet, away from the hustle and bustle. It's heartbreaking, because if it weren't for the construction, we would have enjoyed ourselves, the house and the swim spa. I absolutely would recommend anyone stay here, after construction is complete. I didn't see any signs of any other houses being built near this one.
