Mabel's Cottage ofrece un encantador refugio rural ubicado al borde de los páramos y, sin embargo, a solo unos kilómetros de la hermosa costa de North Cornish. El conocido Port Isaac, Tintagel y Boscastle están cerca, junto con la hermosa playa de Trebarwith Strand, y maravillosos paseos como el sendero Camel y St Necten's Glen, por nombrar algunos.
Sube al Tor, conoce a las ovejas, vacas, pollos y ponis locales, escucha el canto de los pájaros. Dream location, holiday apartment with winter garden
The holiday apartment is beautifully located - but a little out of the way. You definitely need a car. The cottage is tastefully and fully equipped. Everything you need is there and it was very clean. Wendy welcomed us with homemade scones and flowers we picked ourselves. John and Wendy let you use their beautiful garden for the duration of your stay, including the terrace with a view of the lake. The winter garden is a beautiful additional room. Wendy and John are extremely friendly and accommodating. I will definitely go there again because I really liked the area. I discovered a new "place to be" for myself there. Fantastic location
Perfect for two people, cottage finished to a high standard and very clean. Location is amazing, private with fantastic unspoilt views from the conservatory, which we were informed is being extended for next year. Lots of places to visit and eat out within easy reach should you want to, or just stay in and enjoy the peace and quiet and relax. We would definitely stay here again, thank you John & Wendy for our week.

Wunderschönes Cottage in herrlicher Lage
Wir haben zahlreiche Wanderungen an der Küste (Costpath) und in der näheren Umgebung (Roughtor) gemacht. Im gemütlichen Cottage mit tollem Ausblick genossen wir die Ruhe.

Geweldig uitzicht vanaf stilste plek ooit
Mabel's Cottage, vernoemd naar een van de kippen van eigenaars John en Wendy, is een heerlijke plek voor wie rust, stilte en ruimte zoekt. Het uitzicht op de Rough Tor is in het echt nog veel mooier dan de foto's kunnen laten zien. Je kunt er naartoe lopen en via de andere kant van het meertje weer terug, maar dat is verder dan je denkt, doordat een nieuwe buurman zijn hele terrein met hekken en (heel on-Engels) KEEP OUT- borden heeft omzoomd. Op het terrasje aan de rand van de tuin waan je je haast in een filmdecor, zo fraai. Maar ook het kleine terrasje bij de openslaande deuren van de serre is een heerlijke plek, vooral als er wat wind staat. Wij hadden veel geluk met het weer en hebben elke dag mooie wandelingen gemaakt in de omgeving. Ook een deel van het South West Coast Path, dat we de week ervoor door de regen hadden gemist, hebben we alsnog kunnen lopen. Je hebt wel absoluut eigen vervoer nodig hier. En een niet al te brede auto, want de toegangswegen zijn spannend smal. Het huisje zelf is gezellig en comfortabel ingericht en groot genoeg voor twee. De keuken is ruim en werd voor onze komst volgens mij nog amper gebruikt. De oven was nog helemaal nieuw. Er staat een fijne cream tea op je te wachten in de koelkast, maar verder zijn koffie, thee, peper en zout de enige basics. Handig om daar rekening mee te houden als je van plan bent zelf te koken. John en Wendy zijn supervriendelijk en gunnen je je privacy. Al met al hebben we hier een heerlijke week gehad.

Sehr schönes Cottage in idyllischer Lage
Wir haben die Tage in Mabels Cottage sehr genossen. Bei regnerischem Wetter konnte man es sich hier gemütlich machen und die Ruhe genießen. Sobald es trocken war, lockten Wanderungen im direkten Umfeld und Ausflüge an die nahegelegende Küste. Wendy und John sind äußertst freundliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeber!

Wonderful house at a wonderful place
Das Haus liegt tatsächlich wunderschön oberhalb des Stannon Lake gelegen mit Sicht auf den Rough Tor. Zusammen mit dem Haus der Vermieter ist das ein sehr schönes, sehr liebevoll gestaltetes Anwesen. Das Haus ist sehr schön eingerichtet, alles ist in erstklassigem Zustand. Wendy und John wohnen im Haupthaus und sind superfreundliche Gastgeber. Wir lieben es einsam, und einsam ist es dort; ein Auto macht absolut Sinn. Das Haus ist absolut zu empfehlen, wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit (auch wenn das Wetter nicht so doll war...)

Romantische Oase mit wunderbarer Aussicht
Wir haben 10 wunderbare Tage hier verbracht. Die Lage ist entzückend, das Cottage ist unterhalb des Haupgebäude von Wendy und John, und hat einen eigenen Parkplatz. Das Haus ist sehr sauber, hochwertig und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Wenn es mal kälter ist, ist eine komfortable Heizung vorhanden. Die Aussicht im Wintergarten auf das Moor und den See ist wunderbar und beruhigend. Wir haben uns sogar auf die Regentage gefreut, um es mit einem guten Buch zu geniesen. An den schönen Tagen haben wir Küstenwanderungen zwischen Boscastle und St. Ives gemacht, die Küste ist traumhaft zum Wandern, entspannen und Essen. Das war sicher nicht unser letzter Besuch in Cornwall, und wir würden auch das Cottage jederzeit wieder buchen.

Bank Holiday getaway.
Mabel's Cottage is a lovely stone cottage just right for two.With stunning views (when you can see it through the rain!!! Typical bank holiday weather.) Plenty of free entertainment from the birds at the bird feeder. Thank you John and Wendy for a great short stay.

Wonderful location with great views exactly as described. Great cottage, very comfortable with everything provided that was needed. Lovely owners who welcomed us personally, provided a cream tea on arrival and then lit the fire pit for us to sit outside one evening. We would love to return!

We had a wonderful stay at Mabel’s cottage. John and Wendy were great hosts, very easy check in and then left us to enjoy our stay, but we’re on hand if we needed it. The cottage is really comfortable with amazing outdoor space and views over the tor. We only wish we had stayed longer. We will be back!

The perfect base for exploring North Cornwall
We had a lovely stay here. Wendy and John were very welcoming, and greeted us on arrival to show us around. The cottage itself is wonderful; thoughtfully decorated throughout with lots of luxurious little touches, and all the amenities you could need. The conservatory is a lovely place to admire the view when the weather inevitably takes a turn. Wadebridge, Padstow, Port Isaac etc. Are all in easy reach. We'd highly recommend the place to any couple looking for a peaceful break, and expect we'll be back ourselves before too long

A little gem
My partner and I had a lovely stay here. The hosts John and Wendy were friendly and from the start were very helpful. The cottage is very clean and has everything you could want for a great stay. The views are stunning at the rear overlooking a lovely lake and it's very peaceful. We will definitely be coming back!

Absolutly romantic
A very special place to be in Cornwall. We loved the tasteful furnished cottage and most of all the Wintergarden. Nothing than view is between you and the Bodminmoor. No house, no men - only the cattle, the Rough Tor and the lake, smoking in the morningmist. To sit in the cosy Wintergarden, reading "Jamaika Inn" wrote by Daphne Du Maurier, wich is playing in the Bodmin Moor and on Rough Tor was wonderful. Walking in the Evenings and mornings in the Moor around we enjoyed so much. Great Thanks to our very kind hosts, that we could experience that. Sandra and Anna Blume

Simply perfect !
We wish we could stay longer... Wendy and John are very kind and welcoming. Always available to help. We especially appreciated the typical British breakfast waiting for us upon our arrival. The cottage is freshly renovated and fully equipped. Everything is comfortable and the atmosphere is warm. We especially enjoyed the veranda and the gardens with the stunning view We simply felt at home. Thank you for making our holidays great despite a little rain ;) Julia & Robin

Perfect getaway
The cottage is absolutely perfect. The setting of the priperty is quiet and secluded with brilliant views all around. A brilliant location to use to explore alk the cornwall has to offer. Could not fault it at all. The hosts were brilliant too and were availaboe for anything that was required, but also enabled us to indulge in the peace and tranquility of the property. Would absolutely stay again.
