Lots of Activities for Families!
We stayed over Labor Day weekend 2024. All kids between ages 3 - 5. Ton of activities for the children: fishing, crabbing, running around, basketball, pool, and hide & seek in and out of the house!). We thoroughly enjoyed all nature provided. The views from the house of the river from enjoying meals is perfect. Communication with the host was amazing. Doug is great.
The house is dated and could use a re-fresh. There is no central air but each room does have AC units. My wife and I stayed on the 3rd floor which had the two rooms with double beds. The rooms are tiny and ceiling height is extra low (would not recommend for tall people). The water pressure in the showers is not great. Not have enough hand soap in any of the bathrooms (all of the soap was less than 1/4 full and we had to go out to buy more). Each of the bathrooms had a small toiletry kit that had enough shampoo/conditioner/body soap for 2-days max. Recommend bringing your own. There are no extra bed linens than provided. Same with with the bath towels, which were very small. No pool/beach towels are provided but that is communicated before check-in so make sure to bring those. Also, no diving board while we were there.
Flies were an issue if you do not close the door fast enough. We had a huge issue with flies and fruit flies. The fly swatters need to be replaced. Smoke alarm is very sensitive in the kitchen. We had a tiny mouse in living room but that is part of the nature appeal of the property.
