“I am really, really tired of hotels claiming that they have ‘free wifi’ (I stay in hotels >300 nights per year). This hotel had only intermittent electricity (so no power to the small fan in the room at night). In 48 hour stay perhaps 2 hours of connectivity. I encourage Hotels.com to add a third category “wifi MAY be available””

“After paying in advance for room and half board (breakfast and dinner), staff insisted that we produce evidence we had paid since their booking agent had not yet transferred the funds we had sent many weeks prior to our stay. Our receipt only showed total paid so we were forced to pay again for dinner for the group. This took hours to resolve and created a bad experience for the entire evening. ”

“I really enjoyed the hippos grazing at night. The staff also built us a bonfire the first night we were there and we were able to eat around it. The biggest problem was they said we were not expected ( even though my name was clearly on their guest list) and that they did not know we had a 6 year old with us. They were very confused at first and did not know how to handle the situation. One man was very unfriendly.”
