Great weekend getaway
Great cabin with beautiful views. Didn't leave the cabin the entirety of our stay other than to take short walk up the mountain. Game room was fun, hot tub is great, well stocked kitchen, comfy furniture and more. Definitely a return to location.

Just as pictured!
The cabin was so clean and lovely. Everything was just as we hoped! There were lots of special touches, like the beautiful plates & bowls and everything you could possibly need in the kitchen. The lower level is fun and the games are also a great touch. Hope to come stay again.

Wonderful Stay
This cabin was so clean, comfortable, and relaxing. We enjoyed our stay very much. The views are incredible. There is so many fun things to do at the cabin - fire pit, hot tub, relaxing on the deck and swing, game room - that you don’t have to leave if you don’t want to. The owners have thought of everything to make their guests feel welcomed and comfortable.

This cabin is absolutely wonderful, beautifully decorated, with fantastic views of the Smoky Mountains! The host Dave and Amy are really super nice. We would love to come back again and recommend it to anyone.

Amazing Property
Awesome place, the decor and attention to detail is second to none. The time and effort the host put into every part of your trip was well thought out. They provided very detailed directions up the mountain. It’s intimidating navigating the mountain the first time, however the details provided ahead of the trip helped out tremendously.

Wonderful mountain weekend!
This was our 3rd trip to the Elk Ridge Cabin and, once again, we enjoyed every minute there!! The cabin was immaculate, comfortable and we had everything we needed!! Coffee on the back deck admiring the view each morning was a highlight along with the fire pit one evening… perfect as the weather was cool!!Thanks again!!

Prestige luxury home on a mountain top
Amy and Dave's home is gorgeous inside and out. The views from the expansive decks are breathtaking. We felt embraced by the mountains. Inside was luxurious and something out of House and Garden Magazine. The hosts were helpful in suggesting various hikes and always available for questions. We never ate out because we wanted to return home to beauty. Loved cooking the kitchen. The place has a sacred energy.. hope to return. We are grateful for the experience.

Beautiful view at a peaceful, comfortable cabin
The cabin is beautiful and well-appointed, offering a fantastic view from the deck and windows. All the appliances, furniture, and fixtures worked well and were very high quality. The kitchen had everything you might need. Great cabin! The road to the property is well-maintained, but they’re not kidding about how steep it is. You really need 4WD to get there smoothly, without tearing up the steeper sections of the gravel road. The privacy is worth it!

Amazing host, beautiful home, gorgeous views
Amy was the most amazing host I have ever encountered with a VRBO and I VRBO quite often. I had the opportunity to run into her in person and she by far met my expectations by going over and beyond to help us. The house is absolutely beautiful with stunning views. The kitchen is stocked with everything you will need to cook. The king bed is very comfortable and cozy. The rest of the house has a great set up and the downstairs has every game you can imagine for family fun. I rented this house because I wanted to see if could be “the one” I want to build in the mountains … and it’s at the top of my list. The stars at night glow so bright while sitting in the hot tub, you feel like you are in another world. I would highly recommend not only this property, but the host as well. You won’t be disappointed.

Perfect place for a honeymoon!
This cabin was truly perfect for a quiet honeymoon! The views are astounding and pictures don’t do it justice. We spent most of our time at the cabin because there was so much to do and so much room to relax and enjoy the mountains. We enjoyed all the games in the basement and the porch is set up perfect for grilling and hanging out. The last few days of our stay we could hear visitors outside the cabin next door pretty loudly but that isn’t the owners fault, and probably largely depends on who is staying there. Overall it felt very secluded and quiet! The town itself is very fun to visit, and we went to dinner a few times and walked around the cute little shops downtown. We also visited the Nantahala Outdoor Center which was beautiful. The cabin was very clean and well equipped, and we didn’t feel like we were missing anything. The drive up to the cabin is a little difficult at first but once we got the hang of it we were fine, and it was more than worth it for the amazing views! Overall we had such an amazing time at this cabin and we would come back again in a heartbeat!

Very nice cabin!
In the description, they mention the awesome view and they were not wrong!! Definitely one of the best views I’ve seen of the mountains. The cabin itself was very nice, clean, and spacious. The appliances are updated and of great quality. The game area has plenty of games to keep you entertained. The hot tub was nice and the fire pit area gives a very relaxing atmosphere. David and Amy are very responsive when you need them and they provide the most detailed instructions I’ve ever seen at a Vrbo property. This is definitely one of our favorite rentals!

Perfect spot for a couples getaway.
This is a perfect spot for a couple to escape to. This property was well maintained and clean. Honestly, the picture of the view doesn't do it justice. My wife and I agree the sitting on the balcony was better than a lot of views along the trails. When we got back home we were already missing this place. We definitely want to come back for another visit.

Perfect Getaway
The cabin was exactly what we pictured it would be and more. The host was very informative and helpful. Don't pack to much if booking this cabin, since they provide everything you would need. We stayed busy throughout the day exploring Smoky Mountain National Park and nearby towns. It was nice to finally get to the cabin and take a dip in the hot tub to unwind. Then, we would spend time around the fire pit, and discuss what we had seen, and what we planned to do the next day. The bathrooms are very spacious, and the master bed was very comfortable. Wifi worked great even though the cabin is located in a very private secluded area. We really enjoyed sitting on the balcony, and watching the birds eat from the many feeders located near the cabin. Perfect to enjoy a cup of coffee and take in the breathtaking views of the Smoky mountains. We would definitely book and stay here again.

Fantastic couple retreat
Planned a five day getaway with my wife. Enjoyed every day of it. We spent a day hiking, a day visiting Bryson City, a day/night at Cherokee, and the rest on the deck. The house has everything you need from Wi-Fi, dishes/waffle maker, hot tub, and down to the details of USB plugs on each side of the bed. Thank you for sharing your house, we look forward to returning soon.
