A little piece of Heaven
The animals are so sweet and friendly we really enjoyed our stay. The house was adorable and inviting. The privacy was peaceful and rejuvenating.

Darling Cabin!
Such a darling little cabin - so well kept and everything has been thought of. Perfect spot to visit Mammoth - but have total peace and quiet. My kids loved greeting the goats, mules, donkeys and dogs in the morning. not hesitate to stay again!!

Almost Heaven it is…
Our family really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property. My older kids enjoyed sitting on the swings late at night counting the stars. My little kid loved playing on the playground and feeding the animals carrots!

Excellent and peaceful
What an incredible experience we had at the Almost Heaven cabin. The cabin was beautiful and perfect. The atmosphere was remarkably peaceful. Staying at the farm provided a great well-needed change of pace for the family. The only recommendation I would make for the owners or managers is to update the listing in VRBO concerning the availability of meals since they were not available at this time.

Amazing stay!
This property was awesome! Our kids (9 years old and 18 months) absolutely loved the animals. The pond was great to kayak. The cabin has everything needed including visits from the 3 adorable dogs. The property is quiet and the owners are on site for any questions. This cabin is a short drive to Mammoth Cave and to the local grocery for any items needed for your stay. Really enjoyed our time here and would stay again!

Weekend Away
A great place to stay for the weekend. We loved feeding the animals next to the cabin and kayaking. We loved the dogs visiting (Lola, Charlie, and Bo). Everything you could need to cook was available. We made use of the fire pit in the back and made our dinner over it using the grill.

Wonderful home with lovely decor, comfortable beds, and most everything you would need for your stay. We enjoyed feeding the cows and goats right next to our cabin along with visiting the baby goats, sheep, and minature pony at the funny farm by the owner's house. We especially enjoyed Charlie the dog's visits and walking with us as we explored the trail behind the cabin.

It was clean, comfortable, and plenty of room for all 6 of us! It was centrally located to all the places we wanted to visit; Mammoth Cave, Cave City, Glasgo, and Bowling Green.

Aptly named
Great stay for our family (me, hubby, kids 6 and 8 years, my mid-70s parents). Murphy bed was more comfy than expected, kitchen well-stocked, and outside space had lots to explore. Kids caught fish in the pond, fed the animals, and we all enjoyed the swing overlooking the pond. Cabin was clean and drive to mammoth cave visitor center was scenic. Grocery store about 10 min away. Very relaxing place to unplug, though Wi-Fi worked well if you need to stay connected. Almost heaven, indeed!

Perfect Getaway
This property is beautiful! The cabin feels like home as soon as you walk in. My daughter loved the animals being right next to the cabin! We walked the walking trail behind the cabin and was a nice short morning hike. It's about 25-30 minutes drive to the Mammoth Cave visitors center. It was too cold to fish or kayak but the pond was beautiful. The screened in porch and fire pit area are great!! We would definitely stay again if in the area!

Fun place for all
We truly enjoyed our stay! The cabin was clean and there’s plenty to keep a 10 year old boy busy. Loved the bear theme through out the cabin! Amazing place and we hope to return one day!

Little slice of Heaven
The location was amazing. Very relaxing and beautiful area. The cabin was very clean and nicely decorated. We had farm animals right outside that we enjoyed feeding and watching them interact. There was a nice fire pit area with horse shoes and lots of seating. The owners were super friendly and accommodating. Would highly recommend this place. Also it was close to lots of fun things to do.

Pristine Cabin in beautiful setting
My husband and I and our 2 kids (9 and 16) had such a great time at this cabin. It was immaculate and cozy and the location was beautiful. We enjoyed some fishing at the pond, some leisurely walks around the property and feeding the adorable cows, goats and sheep. Ot was noce to be away from ot all, but also within close distance of Mammoth Caves and other fun attractions. The beds were comfortable and it was great having 2 bathrooms between the 4 of us. We had everything we needed with the exception of a good pan. (Pans had peeling teflon coating) But we ran to the Ace Hardware and bought a cast iron skillet which we left there to pay it forward. Highly recommend staying here and plan to go back.

Peace & Tranquillity
What a beautiful and peaceful area. The cabin was well maintained and very clean. We love the setup, very spacious and relaxing. The time we spent there was just what we needed. It was an amazing stay and what made it even better was the greeting dog. This dog would greet us every morning and when ever we came back from town. She was an amazing companion on our walks. She was the highlight of the area. We also had fun feeding the farm animals. We highly recommend this cabin. Mammoth caves are near so we explored them too. Overall great place to stay.

Kentucky Oasis
This is a storybook Kentucky farm unfolded upon arrival! The cabin is spotless and pristine...the land is beautiful with its landscape and scenery...and the farm animals right next door is that extra touch! We made sure we ended everyday with carrots to feed the friendly goats, sheep and cows...loved the sheep...she had a whimsical personality. Our hearts were forever touched by one of their amazing doggies which we nicknamed her "Duke"...she was our first greeter and our companion...the bond with our family and her is truly a blessing to have...and we foresee a future visit soon...to revisit the beautiful cabin and country farm but even more so to see that sweet soul!

Amazing getaway!
Our family absolutely LOVED our time here. The cabin was very clean and was the perfect space for our family of 5. We enjoyed fishing, kayaking and feeding the animals. It was a short drive to both Mammoth Cave National Park and Nolin State park. We hope to make it back someday!

Down on the farm
Being greeted by a goat as we got out of the car should give you an idea of the uniqueness of this property. Lots of nearby attractions but also the perfect spot to not worry about going anywhere if you have little ones. Nice mix of busy and relaxed.

Peaceful and Delightful
Everything about the owners and the property was wonderful! Jeff and Laura are super friendly, informative, and very involved in their community. Property is a 20 minute drive to Mammoth Cave NP, and about 35 minutes or so to Bowling Green. Perfect for us-we dislike crowds and don't mind driving beautiful country roads. The cabin was very clean, well cared for and when at the cabin, we spent most of our time on either the front or back porch. Didn't turn on the TV once. Insulated for sound-this is an active farm; we didn't hear a thing when machinery was in the field adjacent to the cabin. Water is filtered so you don't need to buy water for drinking or making coffee. Water pressure is great. Kitchen is a little tight if you are cooking. If you cook much when you are on vacation, bring your own skillet/saute pan as the ones supplied are very scratched up and the non-stick coating is flaking. After the first night no one was renting the second cabin on the property, so we had it all to ourselves. The swing by the lake and the fountain was glorious! The cows and goats were delightful to watch and feed. Bring some extra bread and a bag of carrots (what the sign says you can feed them). The smaller goats leave the pen and go eat in the field - the owners are aware, no worries! Sunset every night was gorgeous, and you can walk the property (get directions from the owner on how to access the rest of the farm). No bugs inside, great pest control. Highly recommend this property!

We loved our stay! Having the cows and goats right by our cabin was so much fun! The property was beautiful! It was a bit chilly for us to spend much time outside, but the outdoor areas (porches/fire pit) were very nice. An easy drive to Mammoth Cave, but away from the crowds. Owners were super friendly and helpful.

Wonderful spring break family trip - April 2023
Our family of four (kids 10 and 12) had a wonderful stay at the cabin. We enjoyed everything on the property - friendly farm animals, bonfires, kayaks. It was a short 30 minute drive to Mammoth Cave and Bowling Green. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed, and the owners are nice and friendly. Thanks for a great spring break trip!

Beautiful location
Our stay at Almost Heaven was unforgettable. Our host made the check in/check out process very easy. The cabin was very clean, and we loved the quiet relaxed feel of the place. As a plus, next to our cabin was a fenced area holding numerous goats and young cows. We had a lot of fun feeding them. Sitting around the cabin's outdoor fire pit was the perfect way to end the day. We'd love to come back.

A little piece of heaven
Property was very well kept with amazing furnishings throughout. Location was everything! We couldn't resist going over to feed or speak to the goats and cows on each trip to and from the cabin. Absolutely a little slice of heaven for us city folk!
