One Night Stay

Had a one night stay for business (essential travel) Great location, breakfast the best ever and our host was simply the best. I had a good nights sleep and would definitely stay again.

It is a great place with a charming hostess, Rowena. I picked it as it was about a mile to the Beaulieu Automotive Museum and The Palace House and Abbey. Buy your tickets online for all three and enjoy! Top Gear also has a display. Leygreen is very comfortable, clean, and I will stay there again if I’m ever in that part of the world!

Nice owner very friendly and helpful.

Very handy for new forest. Lovely freshly cooked breakfast. The main attraction was the owner's 8 month old Airedale dog called Warwick. Very beautiful and well behaved. Aaah lovely !

Really dissaponted - no privacy and annoying dog!

We chose to stay here due to all the excellent reviews we read. But we ended up being really dissapointed!!!! We stayed in room 5 which has a shared bathroom - we were nervous about this from the start, but when we called to enquire about it, we were told “it’s just down the hall” and that the only other person we share with is the host. In reality, room 5 is across from the dining room (where breakfast is served) and beside the kitchen. So in the mornings, you have to walk past guests having breakfast and then past the kitchen to get to the bathroom. We felt like we had no privacy and the room was completely overpriced - the bed wasn’t comfortable either. We told the host about our feelings of lack of privacy and the room is overpriced for what you get. She told us it’s the first time she’s ever heard this complaint so that’s why we wanted to do this review so that anyone staying in room 5 knows what they are up against. The other thing to note is the dog - we are not dog people, but the dynamic between the host and the dog is that she is constantly yelling orders at it, and it sort of half listens/half misbehaves. We found this really annoying to listen too all weekend!

Lovely B&B

Lovely B&B, extremely convenient for Beaulieu National Motor Museum. Great breakfast - enjoyed the large communal dining table and talking with other guests. The farmhouse is set by itself, not in a village, so a car or taxi is necessary for going out to dinner.

Breakfast here and welcome were brilliant but the size of the room was more suitable to one person rather than two people. There was hardly room to walk around the bed. There was no chair in the room and the TV wasn't tuned. We tuned the TV ourselves.

Fabulous second stay here

Lovely stay at Leygreen, this was our second time here, and will definitely return again soon. Rowena is a great host and Hector the Airedale just makes it better! Nothing is too much trouble and Rowena makes every effort to assist with anything she can, even down to reserving the same table each morning for us so that my partner, who is blind, was able to find his way around it easier. Breakfasts are lovely and all freshly cooked on/in the aga. The area is beautiful and this B&B just made it better.

Perfect little hideaway in the New Forest

Arrived late on the Friday evening, was warmly welcomed by the landlady, and shown to our room. The room was lovely, good space, great shower and four poster bed. Breakfast was fantastic, and plenty of it.

Great room to scout the beautiful local area

The room was separate from the main house and was very comfortable and clean. The owner was extremely welcoming and helpful. Breakfast choices were healthy or fry-up - tasty on both counts.
