This was our first time to Cape Cod. We had a great time. House was good location to do things in Brewster, Orleans, Chatham and Dennis. We enjoyed a whale watching out of Barnstable with the Hyannis group, saw so many whales and a huge school of dolphins. We enjoyed the Harbor Lights mini golf course in Brewster and a White Caps game. We loved Paines Creek Beach (shallow inlet swimming), Crosby Beach (safe ocean swimming in front of sand bar and great walking and exploring in middle of the ocean when tide is out) and great swimming and playing off docks at Long Pond Beach. We also enjoyed walking to Slough Pond (so close) for a quick cooling dip. Many good restaurants to try. We enjoyed casual roadside dining at JT’s and Kate’s in Brewster and the Knack in Orleans. More formal, but still casual, dining at the Brewster Fish House, the Brewster Chowder House and Viera on Main Street in Chatham. The house suited our needs fine. We were not in it much. It is not fancy and kitchen is not overly stocked for cooking, but it was clean and had most everything we needed. Having flown from Atlanta, we really appreciated the linens and towels. It had enough window ac units that it felt like central air in the whole house during the “heat wave.”
