Overall great house for families with older kids/pets and enjoying all that Lake Gaston has to offer! Dock was nicely set up for hanging outdoors and enjoying a peaceful swing by the water. Was great to be able to dock our rented watercraft too! Summer evenings/rain brought plenty of bugs so didn't get to use as often as I hoped, and it was also quite a workout on the long walk from dock to house up a hill. Kitchen was well equipped with plenty of cooking utensils, pots, pans, outdoor grill, and multiple coffee makers (nice to have the option for both k-cups or coffee pot). House had lots of games, good TV service/wifi, and plenty of furniture for comfortable rainy days indoors. The sunroom, which included a daybed with a great view was just that. For anyone considering it an extra bedroom like we thought, just know the room has very little insulation being that it's an enclosed porch and the one air vent in the floor had trouble keeping up. Majority of the sunroom windows don't have curtains/blinds either so little privacy and daylight heats the room up during the day, good thing the area is very shady! Again, nice room just wouldn't consider it a bedroom if you prefer privacy and lower indoor temperature. Beds were older but fairly comfortable with a thick memory foam topper... my husband struggled to sleep b/c he prefers a harder mattress, so just depends on your preference. Property Management was super responsive and we had a great week on the lake staying here!
