The Tinshed at Rosthwaite Horse Farm is a great place to disconnect from social media, as there is no wifi and very limited network connection. Upon arrival, it was wonderful to see the horses and the sunset. However, the signage was limited, making it difficult to identify which of the many buildings was the 'Tinshed'. Fortunately, we arrived in daylight and used our best memory to recall what the building looked like. Peter greeted us upon arrival and provided excellent recommendations for restaurants and activities... all very close to the Tinshed, including our favourite finds of Exeter (Market & General Store) and the Farm Place for great coffee, pies and cakes.
The warm floors in both the room and the toilet were a delightful touch, especially during the winter season. The fluffy towels, crisp linen, and ample pillows added to the comfort of our stay.
The kitchen was well-equipped with all the necessary appliances for cooking, including a stove, outdoor BBQ, Nespresso machine, kettle, and microwave. It would have been nice to have some milk and breakfast supplies as an added touch, similar to other places we've stayed at.
The two leather chairs in the living area had a funky, unique design, but they weren't very comfortable for long periods of sitting.
Overall, it was a pleasant stay with a few minor areas for improvement. If you're looking to disconnect and enjoy a peaceful retreat, this place is a good choice.
