Beautiful
Location was great, though a little hard to find (its located behind another house, and theres no marking or indication of where to go, as you cant see the house from the base of the driveway). The hot tub was not operational, which was a little disappointing but not really a big deal. Very peaceful, and comfortable stay. Would stay here again for sure

Amazing location!
Slight glitch checking in, but management company was very helpful. The driveway and road were not an issue for us at all once we got the hang of it. We did not even hear the road from the house, all we could hear was the small waterfall and the wind through the beautiful redwoods. We loved the patio and hot tub. The towns in the mountains provided plenty of hiking, great restaurants, and exploring. The cabin had everything we needed for cooking and grilling out. Up the hill is a hammock area and walking access to the road that goes to the Brookdale Lodge. Our family had an amazing time, can highly recommend! Our kids are 21 & 23, great family trip!!

Restful getaway
We felt like visiting family. So many things were provided for our use that we were surprised-measuring cups, dvds, games, even lanterns for an unexpected power outage. We had a very quiet and refreshing time away. I don't know how to do bette.

Relaxing getaway
We had a great relaxing week with our 5 and 7 year old daughters at this cabin. The place was comfortable. Loved relaxing in the hot tub and appreciated the kids books and toys. Best time hiking in Henry Cowell State park and running ok nearby trails. Communication was easy. Highly recommend!

Totally cool stay
Anytime in the Santa Cruz mountains is a great time. This vacation rental was in the perfect place. Close to Scotts valley shopping and close to Santa Cruz. The host were super responsive to our many questions.

Beautiful Mountain House
We could not say enough about how much we loved our stay! Suzanne’s mountain house had everything we could possibly have needed and more. From the cozy fire, to the hot tub surrounded by beautiful scenery, to the comfy beds & fully stocked kitchen, everything was perfect! We can’t wait to be able to plan a return visit!

Excellent family cabin loaded with extras!
We had an awesome stay at the Mountain House! It was clean and check in was easy! The kids especially loved all the extra board games you had to offer. It was great to unplug and spend quality family time. Perfect central location for taking in the sights, hiking and going to the beach. Our favorites were visiting Natural Bridge state beach at low tide, the giant redwoods and exploring Capitola. Wonderful stay!

Very comfortable & well-equipped home
Thank you to our hosts for your warm welcome and sharing your sweet home with us. We were a bit apprehensive about pets being allowed but the house was spotless. We wondered if six adults would be a bit of a squash but there was plenty of room and comfortable chairs. Everyone slept well with good mattresses and extra blankets. The kitchen is very well-equipped and the decor just as you might like at home. Certainly recommend.

We needed a little getaway close to home and Brookdale was just the perfect place.
Fully equipped kitchen, cozy living room with a beautiful view of the forest and the highlight for us was the hot tub. Only minutes away from downtown and short drive to Santa Cruz beaches. The host was very communicative and helpful. Definitely recommend this place for any family looking for a getaway.

Magical!
We spent 5 nights in this beautiful cabin and loved our stay.. We are fellow Vrbo hosts and very quickly realized that we had scored a real gem! The property is in a beautiful setting in the middle of a lush forest with incredible views out of every window. Perfect layout for our family of 4. Huge deck, hot tub, skylights, nicely remodeled, great kitchen and we even had a washer and dryer. We spent our evenings sitting by the gas fireplace watching tv, enjoying the hot tub or playing board games. We were thoroughly impressed by how clean, organized and well stocked this place is. All the little details did not go unnoticed and the host was very kind and attentive. Highly recommend this place to anyone and hope to return in the future.

Magical Cozy Family Friendly Stay
This place was incredible for our family of 4. They had everything a family with young kids could need from sound machines to wonderful toys and books. The property was so well appointed and the best kitchen setup we’ve had at a vacation rental in a while. The outdoor space was enchanting with waterfall sounds from a wet weather creek just beyond the deck, great gathering places with the fire pit and hot tub and table, as well as places for the kids to “explore” up the hillside. Highly recommend this gem of a vacation spot!

A Wonderful Gem in the Woods!
The cabin is very cute and cozy! Tree views fill every window and you feel like you are in a treehouse. The kitchen is updated as well as the bathroom. The beds are very comfortable! And all amenities and more are at your disposal. The kitchen has everything you need including spices! Also Suzanne has beach toys for the kids and a beach umbrella should you choose to go to the beach. Suzanne was wonderful to work with and was very responsive on all matters! As others state you do have to be cautious leaving the driveway, as it is on a blind curve, but we had no issues.We will definitely be back!

Such a perfect little getaway!
The owners seriously thought of EVERYTHING! Bluetooth speaker for the patio, coloring stuff, tampons (life savers! haha), extra pillows, flashlights, dog supplies, like the only thing we needed was the food. It was super, super clean and just a really awesome place to celebrate my 50th with kids and family :-) The owner was awesome to work with too, she was super responsive and really sweet.

Enjoyed our stay! Loved the hot tub. Getting in and out of driveway is a pain. Not a great place if your driving a large vehicle. Would definitely stay there again.

Great place for a family vacation.
Comfortable home in a beautiful forest. Lots of fun games for the kids! Loved sitting on the deck and watching birds and squirrels. Fun for grandchildren to climb up the staircase to a hammock and fairy garden. Obvious the owner loves children and made the house a fun place for families!
