“I've stayed at quite a few rentals and hotels, and this is my favorite. It's definitely a bit off the grid, which makes it all the more private and charming. The views are breathtaking, and the layout of the house is perfect for a family...but it'd be lovely for a couple's or solo retreat, too! Our visit included three adults and two kids (10 and 12), but I appreciate that there are baby gates, a pack n play, and a high chair for guests with younger children. My kiddos especially loved the air...

“We stayed at the Blue Pearl during a long weekend trip with our family of four and our dog. The house and property are beautiful! We had all the amenities we needed during our stay, and loved the fenced in backyard and hot tub. The beds were very comfortable. The location was ideal-walking distance to shops and restaurants and a short 5 minute drive to Luray Caverns. We enjoyed pizza from the Italian restaurant around the corner on our first night. “A train came past the house at 7am in the morning. There is no mention of early morning train activity in the description. The mattresses were extremely soft and the blankets were very thin…so we were chilly. The house is beautiful…just these details are something to consider.”

“The location of this house was perfect for our golfing/hiking getaway. 3 - 60 yr olds. Hiking at old rag, about a half hour away was awesome. Golfing at Shenvalle was awesome and nearby. There are plenty of places to get food and drink within walking distance.Ping-pong in the basement was an added bonus. ”

“This cabin was perfect. Very clean, great view and organized. It was interestingly situated high up on a mountain and it was a lot of fun for us to drive the jeep (that host provided) to go up and down the hill on the rocky roads, very adventurous. I would definitely recommend it. It was just the two of us but the cabin can comfortably fit in a lot more people.”

Even better than the photos.The area and property itself are lovely, very quiet and peaceful. We even saw some deer walk by the dining room windows! We enjoyed the board games and the screened porch as well. Great communication with the host and an easy check-in/check-out. We are already hoping to stay again next year!”
