Idyllic Location & Spacious Rooms, Great View

I had no idea our double room was a huge apartment; we had a spacious bedroom, huge lounge & sofa with table & chairs for eating at, big bathroom with lovely big bath, and a little empty room we used for luggage; and to hang our wet laundry after using the laundry service, they lent us a dryer rack. Staff were so friendly and helpful; they even gave us insider local tips on the best swim spots at the lake. Breakfast was delicious, very generous amount available and all of it great quality. It was quiet, calm, spacious, and we had a big fan in our room to keep cool. The view in the morning of the mist dissipating through the trees at sunrise was majestic. The hotel is in the ideal location to walk right across the street to the tourist info, post office, ATM, supermarket, & souvenir shop. It was just 2 minutes walk to the lake. I only wish we could've stayed longer, thank you for a lovely stay! And the iced coffees from the bar were AMAZING

The hotel is well located. It is metres from Bohinj lake and it's possible to do several mountain hikes from the hotel (perhaps following a short bus journey). The rooms are clean and spacious, and the staff were great.

Nice stay in a wonderful location

It was an excellent location with a friendly, professional staff. There was a nice breakfast too. The room had no air condition, so in July it was warm. Luckily we had a spacious room and balcony with a sliding door which helped with the heat somewhat. Right down the hill from the hotel is a delicious hamburger restaurant too.

I really couldn't be happier with my stay here. Stayed for 2 nights in a room with a balcony. Everything was clean, good condition, nice furniture, and AMAZING VIEW. Good breakfast, nice staff. Hotel has a classic look to it which I appreciated. Reasonable price as well. I highly highly recommend this place

Enjoyable stay.

We chose this hotel as it was close to the bus station and the reviews on the service were all positive. We proved it to be correct. Very responsive to the emails inquiries and very helpful staff to bring us a fan as there is no air conditioner. I guess most of the hotels in this areas are not equipped with air conditioners. There was also no window screens that insects might fly into the room but again I found it might be a norm in the area. We booked a family suite and so it was big enough for two of us. Don't forget to try the BBQ restaurant located right next to the hotel. And remember to make a reservation if you can. Their onion rings were super~~

Great Hotel - Beautiful Location - Excellent !!!

The hotel is located in a beautiful location only 2 minutes walk from the lake and the few shops and restaurants in the hamlet. The hotel is quiet and relaxing and kept clean and is in very good condition with modern furniture. You are welcomed to your room by a small bottle of wine, bowl of sweets and a pack of Slovenian pastries (very tasty) - this is a nice gesture. The room had twin beds, a large wardrobe, 2 chairs and tables and plenty of space, It also had many charging points. The bathroom had a shower, toilet and washbasin and its own water heater. It is the first hotel room where I have had a hallway with additional wardrobe space and hooks for coats. I guess that is because it is a skiing hotel in the winter. All staff are friendly, polite and helpful and all guest-facing speak good English. The breakfasts offer many options with both hot and cold items. Food was always well-presented, readily available and of a high standard. I liked the small doughnuts. The area has many interesting and enjoyable walks and the bus stop to Lake Bled (30 minutes) and Ljubljana (100 mins) is just across the road. There is a good and friendly burger restaurant only 100 metres from the hotel. I liked the cider Jabolcni. I made the right choice in Lake Bohinj as my holiday location and Hotel Bohinj was a very good choice for a place to stay. With excellent weather, beautiful scenery and polite and friendly people most speaking English Slovenia is highly recommended. Thank You.

Totalt en mycket bra vistelse, dock hade aircondition på rummet varit bra. Eventuellt kan något generösare öppettider i receptionen vara något att tänka på.

Perfect place if you want to visit lake Bohinj

Excellent location, good value for a money. Hotel a little dated but has everything you need. Note, no air conditioning.

Beautiful area, a very convenient 4 minute walk to the lake, very nice personel at the desk. This is a great hotel, and would definitely recommend it to anyone. Do be aware, the photos on hotels.com are OF the hotel, not FROM the hotel.I don't think there are any rooms with an actual lake view, though the views are still wonderful.

Great hotel located conveniently by the lake

The hotel was really nice, located on beautiful grounds and very close to the lake. The room was a lot bigger than expected with 2 wardrobes. It also had a little balcony which was lovely. The hotel staff were really friendly and helpful. They even welcomed us with some wine upon arrival to our room which was a nice touch.
