Read Before Booking
When we arrived, we were informed that we would have to pay for a “hotel insurance” upon check-out. We were also given a brochure outlining the cost of using hotel facilities, which required an additional fee. None of this was presented as optional — it was communicated as if these charges were mandatory. We did not agree to any of it and did not use those services. Nevertheless, they attempted to charge us simply because we had received the brochure and had supposedly “accessed” the information. This felt completely unfair and unreasonable.
When I asked the front desk agent to call the manager so we could discuss the charge, she warned me to “be careful with my time” and implied that I might miss my flight if we continued the conversation. It felt like an attempt to pressure us into paying by suggesting they would delay the process and cause us to miss our flight. I calmly explained that we had scheduled our taxi well in advance precisely to avoid any time issues, so we were not concerned about being late. She eventually removed the charge and resolved the issue.
