Incomparable lujo justo en el río Toccoa

Esta cabaña de reciente construcción fue construida teniendo en cuenta el lujo, el entretenimiento y el romance.

Acomódese con alguien especial frente a la chimenea de piedra cortada a mano en nuestra espaciosa gran sala. Disfrute de una suite de un dormitorio principal con cama king size y un pintoresco balcón personal con vista al río Toccoa.

Entretener es fácil en nuestra cocina totalmente equipada, que incluye una estufa de gas, microondas, molinillo de café, encimeras personalizadas, despensa, barra de bar y refrigerador separados, juegos completos de cuchillos y utensilios de cocina. O cocine afuera en nuestra parrilla de carbón. Reúnase alrededor de la Isla de la Cocina mientras prepara la cena, o alrededor de la televisión y la chimenea en el gran salón conectado. Cene adentro o afuera usando cualquiera de nuestras dos mesas para 8 personas.

La gran bañera de hidromasaje privada se alza en la ladera, con vistas al río. La sala de juegos luce un tablero de tejo de tamaño completo y un tablero de dardos electrónico. Las sillas mullidas en toda la cabina permiten la relajación y la lectura.

Cocine s'mores en nuestro gran pozo de fuego excavado a pasos del río Toccoa. Disfrute de una excelente pesca y el mejor tramo de tubería interior termina en nuestra playa privada de arena.

Además de todo eso, tenemos grandes televisores de pantalla plana, Internet inalámbrico y todas las demás comodidades del hogar: televisión por satélite, ropa de cama fresca, chimenea de leña a gas, lavadora y secadora, estación de conexión para iPod, etc.

Contando los sofás extraíbles y la litera, tenemos seis camas, y si eso no se adapta a tu gran fiesta, ¡pregúntame sobre la cabaña de mi padre al lado!

WE WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK!
I can not say enough how beautiful this home and location was. It was so much more beautiful than the pictures. The home had everything you need for a long stay from the kitchen to towels and more. My kids had a blast fishing, playing the many board games by the fire place, s’mores and scary stories by the fire pit. We were all so sad to leave. Only thing to be aware of is the very steep driveway but that seems to be the norm in that area.. mountains and all lol we can’t wait to go back!

Amazing stay!
The view every morning to the river was awesome and you could hear it if you open the windows it was so close. Just a short walk down to the river for some s’mores and good times! The rooms were spacious and it is about a 15 minute drive to downtown!

Beautiful Week!
Enjoyed every minute of our stay! The home is easily accessible to town center but located on a small quiet cutoff road in the mountain side. Beautiful scenery and lots to do inside on the rainy days. We will be back!

Awesome!!
Such an awesome house! Exactly as shown in pictures and right next to the river. We enjoyed being close to town, yet in a quiet, relaxing area next to some great hiking and outdoor activities. The hot tub and shuffleboard were fun! Super easy check in/out process and very easy communication with owners. We would absolutely stay here again!

Awesome Visit and Home
We had an amazing visit at the Hippopotamus Haven! The hosts were lovely and prompt to answer all of our questions, making us feel very comfortable from the start. The cabin is absolutely perfect! It is located just off the beaten path with complete privacy. It has all of the amenities necessary for a week with the family. Access to the Toccoa River was perfect. We enjoyed quick trips into town for supplies and to enjoy the local shops, restaurants and the local brewery. It was an enjoyable visit and we will definitely return to this hidden gem! Thank you for having us!

This cabin did not disappoint. Very large with plenty of space for the whole family. The river is right in front of you and the large windows and balconies provide an excellcent view. I would stay again.

Family Reunion
A great time was had by all. The property is located overlooking the beautiful Toccoa River. The cabin was clean and basic supplies were provided. The kitchen had everything you need to cook. Loved the beautiful decor.

Relaxation Overload
Wonderful property! Beautiful scenery. Huge windows looking out at the river. It’s quiet and peaceful. If you bring your pet(s), just be mindful that ticks are very prominent in the area. No issues inside the house, just when walking in the high grass or against bushes. I would definitely stay again if I am vacationing in the area.

Hippo Haven Review
This place was advertised as being right on the river with chairs and bonfire, but there was none of that. There were also cigarettes, dirt, and hair balls. The hot tub wasn’t hot at all and didn’t work, so we couldn’t use this really, which is one of the main reasons we come here and to hike. The stairs Outback had rotted wood and we almost tripped. We did trip on the deck several times as there are holes in the deck. The sound of the river was really nice and relaxing

Clean property with great access to river
We found the property to be very clean and pest free. The deck overlooking the river was wonderful, cooking dinner on the grill and enjoying the river sounds. The access to the river is great, even getting in and out of the water was a breeze. Location was great, area was quiet. We will definitely visit this property again!

Perfect cabin getaway and location
I cannot not say enough good things about this cabin. Myself and my family wanted to getaway for the weekend to fish, stay at a cabin on the water, and explore downtown blue ridge, and this was the perfect place for it. The river was only a few steps away, the cabin was gorgeous, and all the restaurants and shops in downtown blue ridge were only a 15min drive away. I was instantly at peace stepping into this cabin when I heard the water from the river and looked out from the balcony at all the woods and nature. The solid wood, stone countertops, and architecture inside the cabin were also beautiful. I loved the shuffle board table and board games as well. You can stare out the big windows in the cabin and see the water right there while you drink your coffee or play a game with your family. We loved how close the river was to fish. My kids especially loved all the hippopotamus decorations and are already asking when we are going back. The owners were also very prompt and contactable with anything we needed.

Great for some peace and quiet
Very serene setting. Well equipped. Comfortable. Only tip I would give is to bring a Roku or similar if you want to do any streaming on Netflix or Amazon etc.

Wonderful house on the river
We really enjoyed our stay here. The house was right on the upper Toccoa river in a nice, quiet spot. The house was clean and smelled nice. It was a great size for a couple and their children. We plan to return again.

Best vacation ever!
“Best vacation ever” - our 4 year old made sure to say this every 10 minutes! And it truly was amazing! We had so much fun playing in the river. The house is beautiful! Very spacious for our family of 5 and doggies. The owners didn’t even bat an eye at welcoming us with our three dogs. The patios were the hangout spot, the river view is so nice & relaxing. We were weary about the road between the house & the river but let me tell you- with three kids AND dogs- it was no biggie. There was hardly any traffic coming through and everyone was so friendly and respectful that did drive through. Also, you can eat bad on vacation here because you’ll burn it all off going up and down the steps!!! Lol! So happy we found this place, we truly had an amazing time. Went by way too fast! Thank you for allowing us to stay here! - The McCauley Family!!

Just ok
More than one light didnt work and needed bulbs. The hammock was moldy and too dirty to use, which was a huge disappointment. The middle blind on the main room didn't go up, obstructing the main view of the river. The patio umbrella is worn so thin there is a hole in it and the exterior of the doors are super dirty. The patio furniture by the front door and top floor and rusty and dirty, but the part outside the kitchen was nice to have dinner on. Most of the inside cabin was very clean and there were basic supplies like trash bags and a sponge to do dishes. The washing machine has a broken knob that takes some finagling to make work. The shuffleboard table was very nice and a fun way to spend some rainy down time. There were multiple scorpions on the patio and none of the windows had screens, so we couldnt open the windows to enjoy the spund of the river.

Fun Place Inside and Out
Right on the river. Great view. Comfortable for the family to spread out. Shuffleboard game was a HIT. We had a great time.

Snowy retreat
We had an enjoyable stay at this lovely home over the New Year's holiday week. Our first night it snowed and was a great experience for my adult Floridian children who had not experienced snow. The location was perfect access for our favorite Aska trails and ease to get to Blue Ridge for our favorite shops. The cabin was comfortable, and we enjoyed long hours of family board games. The driveway is best avoided just park below and as others have stated not optimal for those with physical challenges. It was well worth it hearing the river every day and we even enjoyed our own version of a polar plunge on New Years Day but just up to our ankles. Our dogs enjoyed the cabin and the hiking as well but were amusingly perplexed by the stairs, again Florida dogs, not used to stairs. Many laughs and great memories were made :)

A cozy paradise getaway
This cabin was built and designed so beautifully. The location is perfect. It is literally built right into the side of a mountain with a view facing white waters. The only thing I would change is the lock and key box. It is very difficult to open and close heads up. If you aren't very good at parking up a very very steep hill then you'll be walking up a very steep hill or stairs. But it is so worth it and gives you a little work out during vacation. There are many trails and waterfalls and beautiful scenery so close by a beautiful little town if you want to get out however it is a vacation within itself at this cabin.
