Fabulous Fishtrap Overlook
Our family enjoyed a fabulous week stay at Fishtrap Overlook cabin. The cabin is gorgeous and well appointed with everything you may need. Very clean and extremely comfortable. The beds are comfy and the decor is beautiful! We loved being by the cozy fireplace relaxing after a day exploring Blue Ridge, Helen and Ruby Falls. Our granddaughter also got a kick out of the train passing by. We had a fire in the fire pit one night, roasting marshmallows. The view from the stunning deck overlooking Toccoa River is amazing! Ellen and Dan are very sweet people to communicate with and go out of their way to make sure your stay is a happy and comfortable one. We would love to stay at Fish Trap Cabin again and highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful, clean, beautiful, comfortable home away from home to stay! A 10/10 in our book!

Wonderful Christmas Trip
Our family had a great experience spending time in the Blue Ridge area and staying at the cabin. The cabin was very nice and the decks, river, fire pit, and hot tub added to the fun and relaxation. It was fun to see the Blue Ridge train pass right by the cabin all decorated for Christmas too.

Cabin was great… views amazing… location great… rooms and bathrooms clean and nice. Beds and pillows were not the most comfy but ok. Kitchen Utensils and plates were dirty and greasy, Overall we loved the stayed but I had to rewatch everything in kitchen before using.

Weekend oasis
Me and my husband needed a weekend getaway and this was the perfect retreat. The house was beautiful and the setting was so peaceful and relaxing. The host went above and beyond to make our experience great. Would definitely come back!

Fantastic Cabin
This cabin is fantastic! We went for long weekend for long overdue girls trip! More than enough space! Well equipped with everything we needed! Comfy beds and super clean!! And the best part are the decks!! We spent so much time out there!! The sound of the river is so relaxing!!! Directions from owner make finding place easy!! Can’t wait to go back!!!

Everything overall was great! Wonderful communication with the owner. Bedding, comfort/decor were wonderful! Adorable cabin and river access was magical!! Would recommend patio furniture be cleaned of dust and cobwebs. Need to have body wash/shampoo..there was only hand soap in one bathroom. Also requiring guests to clean out fire pit ashes was unecpected.

Such a peaceful weekend away….
This cabin was amazing. My favorite part was waking up in the morning and having my coffee on the deck, listening to the river and watching the wildlife. It was a great place to decompress and get away from the daily chaos for a few days. The cabin was clean and had an everything you could need. We will definitely be back to this one!

Fun family trip
Loved the cabin! It has such a great view of the river, with really lovely outdoor spaces for relaxing. The drive in to the cabin was easy, which is always a plus in mountain areas. Everything was super clean and we appreciated the little touches like marshmallow roasting sticks and a few fishing supplies. We saw deer, a racoon, an armadillo, and a mama turkey with a few babies in the few days we were at the cabin.

So much peaceful outdoor space!!
Our stay at FishTrap with our teen kids and their older grandparents was VERY relaxing. There is so much outdoor space to relax in the woods listening to and watching the water flow in the Taccoa River ... And the outdoor furniture is top notch and plentiful! The hot tub was a fantastic amenity, and it worked great ... And it's drained and refilled between every guest. There is old home charm with new home quality and technology. We already look forward to coming back.

The cabin and views are beautiful. Extremely clean and well kept. The road to the cabin takes a few trips to get used to and the walk down to the walk is a little steep but well maintained.

Amazing Mountain River Vacation
Our family had a phenomenal trip to Fishtrap Overlook. Ellen and Dave were literally the most astute and ready to help hosts you will ever have on trip using VRBO. I cannot say enough about their hospitality and the property they share. While it is fun to debate what properties were best among the ones you have stayed at. This absolutely is in the conversation for one of the best for our family. You will not be disappointed!

Great quiet get away
Super clean, very quaint and amazingly relaxing. We needed a short get away and this was JUST the place! Highly recommended to anyone who just needs a few days to recharge away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We will definitely go back again sometime! Perfect Little Get Away
This was a well needed short get away for us. It was a spectacular property. Great view of the river and VERY Relaxing! Clean, well maintained and very quaint. We enjoyed our stay, had no issues at all. We will definitely be back again sometime.

Great Home
This is a beautiful house with a wonderful view. The sound of the river is very relaxing. It was very fun to see the passing train go by. The house is very well equipped and has all you need for a nice visit. Location is great as it is far enough from town for quiet but close to drive for groceries or shopping. Would love to stay there again. We were able to find the house using Google Maps.
