Awesome weekend in the mountains
Property is excellent, hosts were marvelous, quick reply to questions and very friendly.We enjoyed a great relaxing weekend with family. The views from the property are amazing and breathtaking. Highly recommended!

Gorgeous views & relaxing times
Our family stayed for a week, to enjoy time together for my teen’s birthday. The house was all she had asked for & more! We relaxed in the hot tub, played pool ever day for hours, lazed & read (& napped by the fireplace. Enjoyed games & meals together at the big dining table with a stunning view of the mountains & valley. We were even treated to a meteor shower! The most relaxing getaway ever! Check-in @ out were a breeze. Management responded quickly & clearly to any questions we had. Such a joy!10 of 10 would recommend!

Breathtaking views
We came for my birthday weekend with my family (2 kids 2 adults). The photos really do not deceive, the views were incredible all three balconies! Yes three! The decor was beautiful and elegant but cozy cabin feel at the same time. Beds were comfy, hot tub was great and fenced in firepit area was clutch. Kids had plenty of entertainment in the basement with games and pool table and my husband and I enjoyed our coffee/wine on the porch. Only feedback would be maybe to provide starter toiletries for the bathroom and maybe some coffee for that first morning if you hadn’t made it to the store yet. All in all we loved it and would definitely return again!

Home was in great shape. Fast internet. Lots of room for the 8 of us. Good privacy. Wonderful views. Close to town. The road up to the cabin was pretty steep and twisty but manageable. Would definitely stay again.

Perfect for a Fall Family Getaway!
The cabin was exactly as represented online. The owners were very communicative with all of our needs and questions both before our stay and after our arrival. Stunning Mountain views, great hot tub, fire pit, and fireplace. We didn’t watch TV for 4 days and it was so refreshing! Beds were very comfortable with high quality linens, which was much appreciated. Will be back!

This is a beautiful cabin with plenty to do. The drive up is a bit steep and has some potholes to watch out for but my sedan made it up fine. Easily one of favorite cabins ive ever been to, would definitely come back.

Great Getaway with Extraordinary View
Wonderful property! Beautifully equipped cabin minutes away from Blue Ridge activities! Very clean, responsive host, necessities available! Our family of nine enjoyed the cabin, the hot tub, hiking trails within short drivable distance, and the VIEW! I could have sat for hours and just enjoyed the serenity of being Above the Clouds! We will definitely return!

Very cozy!
We loved our stay at this cabin. David provides great communication and even let us know a storm could be moving in and what we needed to know to keep us safe. The view is amazing. The bed is comfortable. There are so many fun games in the cabin. The little details like nice hand soap and cozy blankets was a nice touch. We also loved the fenced in area for our dog. It was a great stay and we would stay here again. Thank you for a fabulous stay!! games

Beautiful Cabin! Amazing Views!
We had a great stay at Above the Clouds cabin. The view is even better than the pictures and the cabin has everything you need. David was very responsive to the few questions that we had during our stay. The property is also very dog friendly, with lots of enclosed decks.

Great house, with a spectacular mountain view! Very comfortable for 3 families. Plenty of activities at the house, and we enjoyed Blue Ridge. we rented a pontoon boat on Blue Ridge Lake (30 minutes away) and had a great time there too. We left talking about a redo next year!

Above the Cloud Cabin ( Outstanding!!)
Our stay at this cabin was wonderful. The mountain view was fantastic. The cabin itself was perfect. Cozy, plenty of room, just a beautiful cabin itself. Hopefully we can come back and stay a little longer. The road up the mountain is a little rough, but after you go up a couple of times not a big deal. The video directions really helped out a lot. If you're looking for a relaxing getaway...this is it.

The property is fabulous. Love the floor plan. The kitchen needs a can opener that works. Love the screened porch with with amazing views! However, couldn’t use it that much because of all the pollen on the floors and the furniture. I feel this should have been cleaned. Overall I love the property!

Nice, Cozy Cabin at a Height with Great View
Good: Very responsive owner/manager to questions. View of mountains from deck is great. Great fire pit. Well-appointed cabin, dishware, cookware, plenty of towels. Road to cabin is steep, but manageable. Could be better: No starter shampoo, bath soap. Some of the comforters showing their age. Area right below deck with dead trees/shrubs distracts a little from the mountain view, especially as some trash (plastic/cans) is visible. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay with friends.

Enjoyable Stay - We'll be back!
After staying in multiple mountain properties and owning a rental cabin myself, this one has without doubt the most beautiful view of any. You have to work for it a little bit by navigating a rough unfinished gravel road but honestly after you drive it a few times it's a non-issue. Cabin is well stocked and you can tell that the owner meticulously maintains the property and cares about the structure and the guest's experience.

This home was one-of-a-kind in terms of its beautiful view and the trip up the mountain to get to it! It had enough space for two families with kids and dogs to enjoy. We had a blast.

Beautiful cabin!
This was the first cabin me and my wife stayed in back in 2007. We got married on 2008 and stayed there again for our honeymoon. We haven't been back here since then and was shocked at all the rentavations that was done It's now even more spectacular! The views are incredible. So many great memories at this place. Look forward to many more. Love the dog area.

Loved it!
We loved the view! We loved the layout of the house. Each couple and one single each had their own floor. This gave us our own space but also space to come together for games and meals. We loved the stocked kitchen to cook in. We loved reading the guest book entries. We loved waking up to the view (except when it was raining and cloudy) lol. I personally enjoyed the early mornings on my deck reading the Bible and watching the clouds move through the mountains. Everything you need is there - tvs, full cable, games, fireplace…we were bummed it was too wet to use the campfire. And we aren’t hot tub people but it was a nice addition. We loved the game room. Seriously the whole time we were talking about when we could come back and considered booking an extra night! It was SO clean too! Upon arrival, there was a fire over the ridge and we were told by a fireman we may have to leave during the night. We let David know and he was super nice about the whole thing. Thankfully they were able to get the fire out and we didn’t have to leave. The only real downside - the road up to the cabin. The owner isn’t kidding in the listing - it’s rough and hard on your vehicle BUT it’s doable! We limited our in and out to one time a day and we had 3 cars so we limited the vehicles we brought in and out as well. All in all - can’t wait to book it again in the future!

Great mountain top location
The drive up the mountain makes you wonder at first but it is well worth it. The house was great for our 3 adult couples and 2 dogs. It was easy to get to other places for waterfalls or shopping. The views and peacefulness were perfect.
