“We are an elderly couple & had a four hour journey through difficult weather. A staff member happened to be outside when we arrived & unasked, helped with parking, unloaded our luggage & took it to our room. On registering we were invited to rest in the lounge, served tea & assisted with telephoning. The room was very comfortable & clean. Breakfast excellent. All the staff were well turned out, friendly & helpful. On departure our luggage was carried from our room & placed in our car. ”

“The Cridford Inn is a wonderful, very old, country inn with a thatched roof, flagstones, dark oak everywhere....dripping with character. It's a little off the beaten track but worth the effort. Unfortunately we hadn't reserved a table for dinner so had to be squeezed in at the end of evening service, but the food was excellent and worth the wait. The same applied to breakfast....we hadn't booked a breakfast slot and so were put at the back of the queue. We must have missed something that told us...
