This apt is the most 'landlord special' vrbo i have ever stayed at. When we arrived our key code would not work. We sent a message through the app and they remotely unlocked the door. The next morning we sent another message as the key code still did not work and despite the thermostat being set on 68 when we arrived, it was 74 at midnight. They stated they would have someone come check the lock and AC. We went ahead and continued with our plans and returned after 3 in the afternoon. The lock would not work and it was 73 in the apt. We called the management number and left voicemails and sent messages through the app. After about 15-20 minutes of waiting on the front porch we received a call back and they remotely unlocked the door... again. It was 73 in the apt. They said they would send someone out. The property manager (?) came out and was able to fix the lock. They removed the filter from the AC that looked like it was placed during the reagan administration and stated that that should help. They said someone from maintenance would come and fix it. They did not come. We purchased 3 fans so that we could sleep comfortably. There were crumbs and bits of food on the couch as well as hair in the dresser drawers and shower. I will say that the lady working the answering service was very nice but ultimately the management of this property was lack luster at best. If we came back to Hoover/Birmingham and this was the only property avaliable, I would cancel the trip.
