Disappointed with the standard of the hotel overall.

some of the staff were exceptionally good, others exceptionally bad. Breakfast was terrible and the rooms were very basic (for example no remote control for the TV and no towels upon arrival). We hope they will improve it as it has huge potential. the area surrounding the hotel is gorgeous and a refurbishment of the stunning main building would bring the hotel standard to what it should really be.

Fantastic Dining in the Mulberry Restaurant at this charming B&B

I loved staying at this very charming bed & breakfast. The staff are fantastic, the setting is idyllic and the food is phenomenal. I can honestly say that staying at the Aylesbury was one of the highlights of our trip to the U.K. and I highly recommend it.

Would love to go back

The hotel was really relaxing and peaceful. Although the grounds need a little bit of work the owners have only recently taken over and are working hard to improve things. Staff were really friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough to help. We chose this hotel as a base whilst visiting Warwick and couldn't believe how lovely it was for the price. It was so nice to sit in the grounds and watch the wildlife, such as rabbits and even a fox. Would recommend this hotel if you are looking for somewhere to unwind after a busy day sightseeing. Whilst we didn't use the hotel's restaurant, the menu's looked really appetising.

Terrific Value!!

If you're looking for an historic country hotel that's not far from nearby tourist attractions, Aylesbury House is the place! The small, but very diligent staff made every effort to make sure their guests' needs were met. James, the manager, was very professional and extremely accomodating. Karen, the house keeper was charming and helpful. David, the cook, did an outstanding job, as every dish he prepared was perfection (accept the duck - sorry David). He always made a point of stepping out to see if the guests were enjoying their meals - nice touch. The beds could use updating, and decor is on its way to rekindling the 400 year old charm that the architacture already possesses. Lap of luxury? - No. Quaint, quiet, comfortable country atmosphere, in a convenient location, at an affordable price? - Most definitely. I felt like a guest in someone's home, rather than a hotel. Book your stay while the price is right! Note: Nearest train station is 30 minute walk, or 5 minute/5pound taxi ride.

Friendly Hotel

The staff at the Aylesbury Court Hotel were extremely friendly & helpful. The hotel & the bedrooms could do with some updating. But overall a pleasant stay in a wonderful & restful setting.

A countryside gem

We booked last minute for a bank holiday weekend, surprised to find such a lovely looking hotel to have space, but on learning that most of it's trade is business, we realised why. There is no disguising that it needs money throwing at it to bring the decor standards up to a competative market condition, but the setting and location goes a long way in it's favour. We were initially given a room in the purpose built bedroom factory annexe. However, the bathroom light didn't work and the bed wasn't made up, so the receptionist upgraded us to a room in the main building. This was so much better, it had character and definition. Once we knew we were the only people in the hotel, we wandered why we hadn't been given this in the first place. Why not give the best to the only customers?The room was huge with a four-poster, but not perfect. Stained carpet in the bathroom. The cold water tap ran hot for ages. When emptying the sink, the water reappeared in the bath! Housekeeping wasn't brilliant. The room wasn't vacuumed between days, the bin wasn't emptied, hospitality tray not replenished. The only member of staff we saw was very willing to provide stock when asked though. Being an empty establishment, there was little atmosphere. No chef was present for both our evenings. This is not too much of an issue, as there are plenty of eating places within a few miles. Set in it's own gardens, the hotel is incredibly peaceful. Ink-black nights gave way to a noisy dawn chorus.

Comfortable get away from the hubub with VERY friendly service

My 2nd stay here within a month.This time I was in one of the 4 more luxurious bedrooms in the main house. My ONLY criticism was that the toilet was jammed in between the wall and the shower and made it very uncomfortable to jam into for the " sitting down " functions. The service was helpful and very friendly every from check-in , breakfast , to check-out or any time you saw any member of staff. Cannot recommend more highly.
