Very nice house but seems to have some mold issues
We noticed mold in everyone of the ac units in each room, ants were a pretty big issue, as well as the basement smelled like mold very bad we couldn't use the pool table. My mother in law was experiencing issues breathing for a few days after our stay from the mold. hopefully they get it cleaned up

Nice house 15 minutes outside of Gettysburg for a family to rest
Nice four bedroom house to rent way out in the country for a family to rent. Clean, big kitchen, living room.

Peaceful and quiet
The house was comfortable and welcoming. Lots of space, comfortable linens and beds/pillows. It is no joke that there is no cell service…. Like ZERO! Which was fine but you need to know that. The wifi isn’t really strong enough for working or a lot of streaming, and no the add doesn’t mention tv, but be aware there are none! Again, all good but just know before booking. Was decently stocked with supplies. We did have a fall, the foyer steps are a bit deceiving and our grandmother didn’t see the step, she did require stitches, so be careful in that foyer. I recommend something that highlights the step. Our group enjoyed the home and spent a bit of time there just relaxing.

Great place to stay
If you're headed to Gettysburg, I highly recommend staying here. It's pretty secluded so there's no cell service, but that's a minor inconvenience for all the home offers.

Quiet and Peaceful
This place was tucked away off the beaten path and was very quiet and peaceful. Driving up the driveway at night was amazing - more fireflies than I have ever seen. Property was as described and met our needs great! Just an FYI - there is WiFi, but no TV which was no problem for us at all, but if you need that you may want to consider bringing a laptop so you can stream just so you aren't caught off guard by this. Great stay!

So Peaceful and Had Everything you Would Need
House was exactly as depicted. No issues at all. Land is beautiful and serene. No TV, which was so great. Just family time with no distractions. Our 5 and 6 years old loved the playground, games and to be able to run freely with us seeing them the whole time. Would definitely book this property again for my family. This house was 5 minutes away from our place.

Beautiful well equipped but remote
The place was beautiful and well furnished and equipped with all the necessities. The one issue we had was with the internet. This area only offers 3mps d/l and 1mps up. This is perfect if you are looking to unplug. Unfortunately this was supposed to be a work retreat so we were force to find other accommodations in town so we could complete our job. Would have been nice if the description would have better described just how remote the property was. Great place to bring a family during winter for snow activities.

Great house, kitchen needs a little love
Overall, the house was great. Only quibble is with the kitchen - overall not super well equipped (e.g., no corkscrew or bottle opener), and many plates/utensils had been put away in cupboards with old dried food on them and had to be washed prior to use.

Great for families and beautiful!
We enjoyed Deerfield so much! The house was perfect for what we were looking for - a close to WDC getaway with room for two families, including babies. The staircase was the only place we had to worry about babygates, and it was easy to block off. Home was super clean, plenty of linens, kitchen was nice and big, and the yard and property are beautiful during the day and as beautiful with the stars at night. Trails in state parks nearby are easily accessible, and the Thirsty Farmer Brewery has loads of outdoor space for kids to run and play while adults enjoy a brew w/ snacks. If we come back to the area, we'd love to stay here again. Host/manager very responsive

Inaccurate description of property
Our family rented this house with the assurance that we could quad and dirt bike on the property. We were assured on 3 separate occasions (still have emails to prove it) that we more than welcome to bring dirt bikes and quads and use the 96 acres (ends up that was also untrue, the property had about 50 acres, but whatever) that came with the house. When we got there all the fields around the house were full of crops. We sent our kids out to explore and see where the quad and dirtbike tracks might be. About an hour or two into our stay a neighbor stopped by and said we should not be riding anywhere near the fields because they’re all rented out to farmers and there was no place on the property to ride that he knew of. We were immediately in touch with love Realty and they were in touch with the farmer who said he was ready to call the police about kids in his field (the kids rode in one that looked crop-free but was in fact growing Timothy hay) because he didn’t realize that the people riding in the field were the people renting his house. So there we sat with a bunch of kids and two trailers full of quads and dirt bikes and nowhere to go. We would have never rented this place if we were aware of the owners policy. Love realty promise to give us a refund but we haven’t heard from them again and have seen no refund.

Great house, great location
Beautiful house in a great private location. Only gave 4 stars because there was no back patio seating, some of the plumbing fixtures could use a little tlc, and would be nice if there was some firewood for the fire pit. Otherwise we enjoyed very much and the property managers were extremely accommodating

Vacation turned Retreat!!
What a vacay/retreat!! My family and I were so unexpected of what we experienced at Deerfield. I had no idea we would get to spend so much family time together bonding, talking and learning ways more than we were ready for about each other...lol. Secluded means just that!! This chalet is AMAZING on the inside and out!! Everything we need was right there. Being that high in the mountains was truly breathtaking. The host made sure everything was clean and comfortable. Although you're at least 20 mins from everything because you're so high up, it was extremely worth it. The price was extremely reasonable for the space, luxury and experience. I would definitely rent again and recommend to anyone telling me they're visiting PA. Thank you Deerfield!! We were able to celebrate my Son turning 16 and gain an extra wonderful experience with out family bonding. Anytime teenagers(5) say they were glad there were no TVs to look at or use should definitely tell you the magnificence of this property. Rent, bond and enjoy!!

Secluded Weekend
The property was a lovely place to have some isolated time-- the kitchen was fully stocked with kitchen gadgets and tools and the bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. We could not figure out how to work the fireplace, but we were warm and cozy inside while the snow fell. We also had some difficulty with getting our car's out of the snow after leaving the home-- It might be better to access the home in a truck especially after a snowfall. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Not cozy
The place is big and comfortable, not cozy at all. The heat was off and it took more than 2 hours to warm it up. There was not propane in the tanks to warm up the house and the le trip devices will not warm up the living room and kitchen. There is a fire place but not logs were left handy. So the neighbor was nice enough to give us some and the rest we had to go looking for it at night in the freezing cold. The house also smells like mott balls And the basement where the pool table is smelly like humidity. The customer service from Vrbo did great helping, but it was a hassle that it was not expected at all for the price.

Fathers Funeral
My family was attending our fathers funeral in Carlisle Pa. Because of the Covid we were not able to meet at any one location. Only my Wife and Kids stayed on the property and we hosted dinner each night for the others. I was wonderful. The manager was there when we had issues with the grill. Beautiful location, quiet and peaceful. We will be back.
