“Walter is a wonderful host. He helps you in any way that he can. The casita was clean and welcoming. The pecan grove is very lovely and quiet. The neighborhood is lovely. This casita is on the east side of town. There is a wonderful authentic mexican bakery. Well worth the visit. If I return to El Paso I would stay there again. Good luck Walter. Thank you for your kindness.”

“This is an nice house and it could be much better with some better maintenance and hosting efforts. Three BR upstairs with two Bathrooms there. So the bad news. Cleaning going on delayed or check in. Checked in to a chirping smoke detector. Neighbor fix it guy tried to fix it but it beeped all night and the maintenance phone guy said they could not come that day. I ended up getting on the kitchen counter and removed it. Several lights out so not enough light to read in Master”

“Small but comfortable. Beds comfortable. Kitchen provided most everything needed. Centrally located. Few things that needed attention/improvement: floors looked and felt like they needed to be swept better AND mopped; Netflix not working; yard provided NO good area for dogs to do their business; small fenced off backyard was full of dog poops and large backyard was seriously in need of clearing weeds, etc.; front yard was also all dirt.”

“The place itself was average, but over priced. Rats chewed the wiring on my new car causing a shortened stay and unexpected cost. Apparently, this is a known problem in the area. The host should have advised us so we could have been prepared. ”

“My husband, me and pups came to Alpine/Big Bend Region for a Birthday Trip. We chose this property as they allowed pets, had a fenced in yard and had room to spread out. House was very spacious, clean and comfortable. As mentioned in other reviews, there are prickers in the backyard (not bad during the time we were there). There are dogs at the homes on either side of the house and in the neighborhood. We (and our dogs) also heard dogs barking early in the morning (1 am) plus the train coming...

“Everything was so clean and beautifully decorated! The outdoor area was perfect and the hot tub in the master bath with the TV above it and beautiful chandelier was heaven. Will definitely be making this our go to vacation rental every time we go back to Midland. The host was absolutely amazing and went above and beyond as far as accommodating and communication. ”
